Hey Jimmy this is mhp. I know you have a big decision to make in the next.......like 10 minutes or so but listen to me Bubba. The Sabres think you would look good in blue and gold. And why not play with Jack and Sammy for the next several years. You guys can bunk together. All good stuff.

I hear Tim will take care of you for the next two contracts and listen to me when I tell you, we will not send you to the AHL. Ever. Even if you stink up the joint.

And all those chicken wings on your off nights. You can't go wrong Bubba. Hey even if you don't want to practice and put on a few pounds, it doesn't matter. It's okay. Bring your Hobo Baker award with you to the 716, okee doykee?

Assuming Vesey signs elsewhere.....

1) Sign and keep Girgs. Stick him somewhere in the line-up this year. Plug him is as #3 centre next year

2) Give Ennis a chance in the top 6. Let's see what he does. If he sucks, trade him for a bag of peanuts at the trade deadline

3) Kuli/Risto, McCabe/Bogo, Gorges/Franson. There's your starting 6. Trade Franson for a second bag of peanuts at the trade deadline if we are out of the playoff picture

4) go to church every Sunday and pray that Lehner doesn't get hurt.

5) don't rush the kids. Let them properly develop.

If we do all of the above, I'll be happy.

That will be really embarrassing for the Sabres if Vesey chooses to sign with a rapidly declining crap team that only has 1 good player who is already 34 as opposed to the up and coming super stacked and young Sabres.

Is Guhle able to go the the AHL? If not I say we bring him up. He can play and Franson can watch until there's an injury

These are the picks and prospects that can take us form a good team to an even better team. You know you'll probably hit with Sam and Jack. You also need to hit with Bailey, Fasching, Carrier, and Baptiste. If 2 of the 4 of them can be contributing NHL players then we'll have done okay. If they all peak at a Foligno type player we won't. I think you need at least 1 of those guys to turn into a 20 goal scorer.

The same goes for the defense. We know Risto will be good but you can't have all top 10 picks. Need some of Nelson, Guhle, and Borgen to become serviceable players. Bottom 2 guys would be nice, at least 1 top 4 guy would be ideal.
