They won't come out with a short list - that would be beyond arrogant. What they may do is call up a couple teams with further questions. Those teams might consider themselves on the short list. Doubtful they have to call up Buffalo as I'm sure they've talked enough

People who are familiar with the news cycle know that anything that breaks after 2:30 Friday afternoon gets lost in the weekend (and replaced by other stuff by Monday morning). A PR person for a team that signs him will want the announcement tomorrow morning or Monday. His agent would, too.

Yep, Friday is the day for bad/not optimal news. Gob forbid anybody remembers anything 3 days after it happens. But sports seems to be a little weird with that and it doesn't always follow the Friday is for bad news thing.
