Nah, it was an age thing..and I haven't paid attention to baseball in over a decade, so not that. No big whoop, just some nagging thing that always makes me question the Junior eligibility. - stashu
My old brain does that to me also. I'll get something in my head but it relates to something other than what I swear it should. |

Yeah, likely what this is...September 15 sticking in my mind over something. That's not the age cutoff for draftees, is it (or close to that)? |

Regarding Vesey
If it had been Boston, would've been over by now. |

I agree if it was all about Boston he's signed already. It just shows this kid really wanted to look at all his options. |

Good article. Ryan O'Reilly is considered one of the best passers in the league.
Rasmus Ristolainen is not...... - sbroads24
Anyone else EXTREMELY nervous that we are just a few short months from the season and he remains UNSIGNED!!??

Same to be said about Buffalo. I think he's just taking his time because he has that opportunity. There's no reason to rush. He had his last meeting Wednesday, had a night to sleep on it and a day to discuss it with his family. Today is the day where he decides.
Joe Haggerty of CSNNE says he's worried about the pressure of Boston. If that's the case Toronto may not be the place for you either. You want to be close to home and no one care about whether you win or lose NJ should be the favorite |

I feel like he goes to CHI or NJD honestly. I'd hate it but that is my gut feeling. |

If Vesey wasn't a thing, yes. If 2 weeks go by after he signs somewhere and there's still no movement on Risto then I'll start to get a bit nervous. |

Vesey's contract is a set ELC though. It doesn't make that big of a difference if they sign him or not because they know EXACTLY what would come out of the cap.
Then again.. maybe they want to hold off because if they don't get Vesey then they will have to make a move ot fill that top 6 void and need the cap? |

I'm looking at it as more of a "Do I need to fill this spot". I have no idea but maybe there are teams thinking "If I get this guy I can move this guy" or are saying "Yeah we like that deal just let us figure this stuff out first".
But that's all just guessing and hoping on my part. I'd like to see a mini frenzy after he signs |

I think that is putting too much weight in a college free agent. This dude will NEVER live up to the hype and expectations put on during this stage show of the past few months.

Saw you posted a pic on FB. Thought it might have been a damp t-shirt. You pup is getting big . My mom's dog is 120# and eats everything. Ate the grill LP hose 3 times. Wheels off the grill. Picket fence is missing about 8' . Took the gutter off the side of the house . I think it is part goat. |

We don't have Vesey or Hudler, and even with them that doesn't look like a 95 point playoff team.
Does GMTM really know what he's doing or is he all style and no substance?

The media did it . not him. He is lucky enough to be able to pick the team he wants to play for instead of hoping a team will pick him. |

Hudler..... HUDLER?
Yea... I'm sure that guy who is still a UFA at the end of August is the sure top line winger we have been searching for!

Why doesn't it? What more are you wanting? You have a solid 1st line (That I would switch to Kane instead of Hudler), a 2nd line that can also score, a 3rd line that you forgot to add Ennis to, a 4th line with good 4th line players (and Moulson). Your defense was 16th best in the league last year with your 6th defenseman as your 2nd D. You played most of last year with a career backup.
Again, what more do you want us to do? There's no big fix out there right now. If Murray had been lucky and gotten Ekblad, McDavid, and Stamkos would you be happy? Because nothing he did stopped us from getting them.
With your guys I would do it as:
Kane-ROR-Okposo (Big line. ROR makes players better)
Vesey-Eichel-Reinhart (Young, hopefully has chemistry again.)
Hudler-Ennis-Moulson (Hoping Ennis and Moulson together work again)
Foligno-Larsson-Gionta (Played well last year. D-lo on deck for injury)
That's a solid team. With a defense that is already improved why can't they challenge for an extra 14 points? |

So if this team isn't good enough, we are chalking it up to bad luck? |

And yet is still a UFA on August 19th.
Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks he is not worth signing... |

I could see us switching Reinhart and Okposo just so that line is not ALL youth. Reinhart played very well on ROR's wing last year as well.
