Best on best has it's merits, but it's September which is football season not hockey season. I'm not looking forward to it, I may watch when the time comes but as of now I have little to no interest.

I will not be watching or following the 'World Cup of Hockey'. An NHL money grab and a big party for Toronto to celebrate 100 years of abject failure.
I'm sure many here are looking forward to any form of hockey by then and I hope it satisfies their yearning.

Hockey only happens in the summer for me!

I have been waiting all winter, a particularly wet and cold winter for hockey to return and even the surf has been crap this winter.

Canucks games start 4.30pm for me most of the season so I rarely see the puck drop either

I feel your pain. I can usually catch the 1st period at work and thend of the 3rd after picking up my kid and getting home. Not ideal.

It's going to be poop hockey, and people who expect it to be anything more are deluding themselves. Do you really think the players are going to want to play as hard they do in the regular season/playoffs during the time they normally are in training camp/exhibition season? This isn't the 1984/88 Canada Cup we're talking about.

For the most part you are probably right…have to be concerned about injuries as well for a tourney that we really don't need. Maybe Buttman can meet with his Senator buddy after there is a career ending concussion there...
