Sabres still have the most to offer. He WILL NOT get a top 6 spot on the Rangers, too much pressure in Boston and no one else is really a contender.
Sabres have the most upside potential in the next five years out of these three. Rangers will try to buy a cup, Bruins are in the tank and no real foundation for a rebuild. I still see him signing with Buffalo. The kid (sort of) is getting some terrible career advice from his agent and dad, only reason he held out and did not sign in Buffalo already. - lulags

These are some blanket comments that I love: "most NHL scouts." Where is your proof of that? "most"
Right, you can only sign one rookie contract, so why not give the guys on two-way contracts a long look instead? They're going to cost less and are more proven at THE PROFESSIONAL LEVEL than a 23 year old dominating weaker competition.
Sorry for making you look dumb there. - Rinosaur
i really don't get why you're fighting this so much. the kid can play. end of story. you really think stan (frank)ing bowman would take in 2 of his men's league games in Foxboro, MA if he wasn't any good?
you can sign him and give younger players in the minors a chance.

How do the Sabres have the most to offer? Honestly, you guys don't need him. Between Kane and Ennis, you guys don't have a lot of room for him. Your top nine is pretty darn solid. You guys need to focus on shoring up your defense.
NJ offers him the best chance to get 2nd line duty. - Rinosaur
E Kane is perhaps the most overrated guy in the league. His career 0.603 PPG is hardly spectacular.... |

Toews.
192 points in his last 237 games?
That's good, but it's not superstar good.
Sure as poop isn't $10 million per year good. |

"END OF STORY" LOL
You love making these statements as if they're scripture and they're not.
I'm fighting this so much because there's no proof the "kid can play" at the professional level. There's no "end of story."
He's shown he can dominate much younger players in weaker competition pool.
It's not like he's even a former 1st or 2nd round pick. He's a former 3rd round pick and he's 23 years old! |

See, this is why I hate this Vesey situation. You can't disprove an unknown, nor can you prove it.
I haven't seen him play, nor I have I seen many of the other 90 players drafted in the 3rd round from the past three years, so what? Does that mean ALL of those guys could potentially be as good Vesey just because we haven't seen them play? I mean hey, I haven't seen them, so I can't say for sure that they aren't all capable of coming right in and playing top hockey.
I don't care why other teams want him. Teams have been wrong plenty. Heck, the Penguins thought Plotnikov was going to be a legit 2nd line winger for Geno and we all see how that turned out. They also thought Janne Pesonen was the best player outside the NHL and the Stars thought Damien Brunner was the best outside the NHL.
Also, what would I actually see if I went to a Harvard game? I'd see a 23 year old man dominate a bunch of 18 to 20 year olds? Ok. |

Bergeron has 3 cups if he plays on that team instead. Kopitar, E.Staal, Getzlaf, Thornton...
I don't feel like Toews himself is the determining factor there. |

Bergeron would have a 10.5m AAV contract right now instead of Toews if he won 3 cups with the Hawks. I'm not sure the point you're making. |
