Edler - VANTEL
Should have done it this summer and resigned Hamhuis to take his place. |

Edlers value has plummeted to the know it alls on HB. There are 30 GMs that would be glad to have him on their team. They wouldn't sell the farm but they would send at least one nice piece back maybe more. - VANTEL
Your getting a 1st and a nice prospect back or a younger more unproven Dman with nice upside. |

Canucks didn't want Dan back plain and simple. |

Isn't there somewhere else you can promote your illegal drug use instead of here? - kaptaan
True, let's talk about prescription opioid based drugs instead, they are legal and have zero negative social ramifications |

Harkki on Twitter is still tweeting Vesey to sign with Buffalo and more moves will follow after he signs.
I don't believe much anymore but it's entertaining at least. |

Kane for Edler. - mhp
buffalo adds a 1st... Edler is better than larson and he got hall, not saying the same but kane is barely a 2nd liner with massive issues and edler is a top pairing dman. |

I would have done the 2 years until OJ was ready to step in... But i do get that feeling cus they could have given sbisa away for nothing and resigned him for less than what sbisa got. |

You have to think they were displeased with the TDL outcome too. If he wasn't willing to get them something at the time and bite the bullet for a few months for a shot at the cup, why would they want to make room for him at his age? |

So when some guy consistently brings up illegal drugs instead of hockey talk you're ok with that... I'd rather stick to hockey...
You and your ilk should find somewhere else to discuss drugs... |

For Dragon,
Jarvis is still the current Ironman record holder for consecutive games played. He brings a plethora of helpful skills and won the Selke in 84'.
My favorite part about him isn't just his 6 Stanley cups (4 as a player and 2 as a coach), but the ironman streak just screams dedication. Hopefully he can show some guys what it takes to show up every night. It was a different game back then but still a pretty amazing feat. Never missed a game in his entire career. |

Exactly. Bad asset management in not planning to trade him and not giving him the garrison treatment... |

I think there was an issue at TDL but I think most of all JB wants a younger faster meaner D |

We don't know what was said but we do know Two weeks before Hamhuis didn't know if he would waive.
It's the past now. I am sure Jim wanted to get a piece back but that wasn't going to happen |

Agreed. Once Guddy was traded here it was all but decided too. I'm sure they would have kept him if it made sense but the trend was change and change is what we have. |

Giving him the garrison treatment would have gotten us more than nothing and probably more than the third that was offered as a consolation prize at the TDL |

Edler is Canucks best Dman despite you expert insight. He is 30 years old and has a good contract for the next three years. He plays 25 minutes a night against other teams top lines. He is first unit on PP and on PK . He is also Canucks best scoring D man.
I am sure every GM has gone to an NHL game or two and seen him shut down their top players.
Your distaste for Canucks is getting more and more stupid every day. Take this crap somewhere else.
And no I don't want to debate if Vrbata could hypothetically score 31 goals for a team he doesn't play for anymore. - VANTEL
Obviously any opinion that's not positive is pure Canucks hate ....maybe I should find the same pair of glasses your wearing so I can see things the same

I get where your hostility comes from but how can you possibly disagree that getting rid of Bieksa, Garrison and Hamhuis was a bad idea!?
Out with the old and underperforming players and make some changes. By the time we were ready to compete again those players would have been probably retired. |

I let the first 200 things you didn't like about the Canucks slide, I sure as hell don't want to listen to your next 200
You say Edler wouldn't get back any decent return and then want to debate me whether Vrbata could score 30 goals for a team he doesn't play for
You want to debate everything. Sorry pal not interested. Go check and see if you signed you two top superstars instead. |

Getting rid of all those guys is fine if the team got something back. In hamhuis, the team didn't get anything. He should have been pushed out for some return. |
