Getting rid of all those guys is fine if the team got something back. In hamhuis, the team didn't get anything. He should have been pushed out for some return.

Hamhuis earned his NTC and had the right to not waive it. 10 days before he said he didn't know if he was going to and it would need to depend where. Same as Vrbata offered 10 teams that had no interest in him. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors

It's very different how others view different clubs in terms of bias. It's widely known that Edler is of value. Carolina offered their 6th only a few years back and PHI DET MTL and even BOS have constantly knocked on the door for Edler not mentioning other clubs I'm sure. Sure I agree with you a touch…Edler isn't a super star but he is a solid 3-4 on ANY club pretty much. That is a known commodity on any club. When you have a 20-30 pt Dman that consistently logs Edlers minutes GM's would kill for a dman like that. Now what we would get for him remains to be seen but it would be a decent return. I'm not saying that as I am a biased Nucks fan it is just fact whether we all like or hate Edler for what he brings.

I will say this ...I wonder if edlers downward trend in points had more to do with his role changing the past few years and less his age ...he went from being a 3/4 pp guy mostly to having to be the top pairing guy

Except if you go back and look at the vast majority of the posts I've made it has been hockey talk with the same objective I explained in my first post. The only harsh or insulting language I've even used has been in response to highly sensitive people throwing much worse insults because they thought I was being too critical of their favorite team.

I'll admit, I don't have a perfectly clean record, but it improved quickly after I felt the place out the first couple of times and witnessed how sensitive some folks were and how protective your mod was of these sensitivities. This kind of optimistic sensitivity actually would never have festered this bad if it wasn't provided a safe space.

So don't come to me with false claims about my discourse and respectfulness when the respect returned has always been much less, even from day 1.

Just like the disrespect shown to Redmile for essentially the same thing. Disagreeing with the purely optimistic status-quo.

1) I don't think your team sucks. Well, actually currently I don't think they are very good, I'd say defs no playoffs this year, but I have respect for the style of rebuild they are choosing and I honestly think the Nucks are underrated around the league, especially by Tanner.

Can we at least agree that it was a bad management decision to claim Ron off of waivers and bad asset management on the Edmonton HB board to waive him without trying to trade him first? Nobody can bat a .1000 after all...

Poor Ron will be stuck in the ban box all season, that's going to be bad for his future development as a future Olympian HB poster.

Definitely is too strong, cuz obviously I have no clue. By that I meant I feel fairly confident about it, enough so that I would be willing to bet a friend $20-$50, and I'm not much of a gambler.
