I can easily see them in the Gold medal series against Canada if they get solid goaltending which is paramount in this type of tournament. Like when Ryan Miller carried an average at best USA team to Silver in Vancouver.
Don't know if anyone mentioned this or night but Nylander will in fact be loaned from Mississauga to Rochester. Therefore it's either Buffalo or Rochester for Nylander no Europe or OHL

Well he hasn't gotten anything right yet and recently lost over 100 followers due to the Vesey signing. But hey one can guess. He also said we would get Nyquist for a prospect and a 2nd.

I saw that last night. It's the best thing for his development. I bet we could at least see him for 10 games this year depending on injuries.

O'Dell went to the KHL so he won't be here. Only thing that I worry about development-wise is the lack of a good center down there. Schnieder was good last year (21-35-56) but Catenacci only went 12-12-24 and Varone is on Binghamton. Still, tht team looks better than it did last year. We'll see if they give a guy like Nylander time over a player like Baptiste in the beginning but hopefully he plays himself into that position.
Edit: We signed Derek Grant as well so he might be the 2nd line center. That drops Catenacci to 3rd and Kea to 4th. 27-18-45 in 36 AHL games before being promoted to the NHL for 15 games (0-1-1) last year.

With Dan Lambert coaching down there these kids will develop nicely. He has a good track record in that regard from his work in Kelowna. I like the idea of Nylander in Rochester and Lambert working with him.

So it is 10 games for the entire year (before first year kicks in), so I would think you would see him later in the season (pending him not destroying camp).
But on that note, if the player is in Rochester, I am not sure if that is going to burn his first year either way. So maybe the 10 games does not matter for him?
