Off Topic Question:
(Sorry Carol)
OK.. we are on the hook for Luongo until 21/22 for 800,000.
It also looks like age is finally catching up with our dear departed Captain and he will probably only play a year or so more.
So my question is this:
If he goes on long term injury without any real indication that he would ever be returning to play... why would the Canucks not trade for him? Say a 4th or 5th pick. We recoop the cap-space, they get a free pick, we pay out nothing as he is on insurance, Luongo does not even need to ever leave Florida. It sounds like a win/win/win situation.
The only downside I see is that we would be using one of our 50 contracts but that is small penance to pay and even then, I am not sure if a LTI contract counts.
I do not see a downside. |

Leafs invite Brandon Prust on PTO - VANTEL
You're kidding, right?
Man I went into the Leaf's forum today and they all attacked me like little viruses going after a healthy cell.
All I said was they were all idiots for praising Babcock when all is has done so far is steer the ship into 30th.
Hell I could have done that and for 10% less money. |

I don't see how a draft pick would ever be worth 800K in space per year.

Over 5 or 6 years? I think that adds up to way more than a mid to late round pick.
Think of it this way... currently, that 800,000 is the difference between Sbisa and Hamhuis. |

Dozzer is the biggest ass in the world. He questioned the validity of my service to fighting Cancer two years ago. He has no clue who I am or what I/ my family has gone through ---- I explained that to him and he was one hell of a idiot.
When I see Dozzer, I just leave. He is a rock bottom idiot.
