Also if you would have paid attention 89 didn't have us as the frontrunner the ENTIRE TIME.

We have Kane. Who isn't a lock to be on this team opening day. Ennis who is a mystery and mainly played center and RW. Moulson who doesn't deserve to be playing with Eichel and Girgensons who doesn't deserve to be playing with Eichel. I'd say screwed at LW for this season is a current accurate statement. Murray dropped the ball on giving his franchise cornerstone an adequate talent to play on his left side.

Ennis actually played LW before he played RW. He came in at C, but moved to the left side to play on Vanek's line, then moved back to C, and back again a few times before he stuck at C, and then was shuffled to the right side because we had none on the roster other than Gionta.

Top 4 I'm pleased with. O'Riley, Okposo, Eichel, Reinhart

Kane I'd be pleased with if we knew he wasn't going to be suspended or worse arrested.

Ennis I don't count in the top six because he hasn't even proven he can play anymore

No one else on the team deserves to be top six unless Nylander performs in Eichel like status.

My issue with Ennis isn't his production, more that he wasn't playing the system. He was freelancing out there. When you have players like ROR, Eichel and no Okposo you can't freelance. Play the system or sit in the press box.

Ennis is talented but Ennis isn't talented enough to do it on his own.

According to people in here this entire team is (frank)ed because we missed out on Vesey and Pirri and have Nilsson as our backup.

Gotta have our daily sky falling posts with Gerbe out and people have been filling in admirably.

Ennis is a fine top 9 player. We don't need a 3rd line to be a checking line, so let him see if he can hit the 20 goal mark

It's not so different as to be completely unproven. It's not like he had 8 points in 50 games. Plus his shooting % was also half of his career average. That's just bad luck. It was only 23 games, in a new system, with a new coach, and with new teammates. I'm not concerned about his ability.

ROR had a 20+ game stretch of 1 goal. Kane had an atrocious 10-15 game play, Risto struggled for a bunch of time. Girgs couldn't score

Yes you did. He has no trade value now but might later on. And I doubt we'll get Fowler.

I agree. If you get Fowler it pushes McCabe down to the 3rd pairing and I like him better with Bogo on the second pairing. If Shattenkirk goes to free agency next summer, make a play.
