Incorrect answer! the answer is: the oilers. Due to the fact that they tanked for McDavid and he is healthy, they do have a shot at the cup next year. There's a team where if they squeek in the playoffs would be scary.

It really is a sad state of affairs...despite the change to the lottery teams are still rewarded for tanking. I will never forget Shanahan saying they earned 1st overall. A true disgrace. I believe that all teams that miss the playoffs should have an equal chance at first overall. Or at the very least, change the odds dramatically. Its a joke watching teams unload all of their NHL caliber players by the mid point of the season. Teams like TO and Arizona have already begun the tank and the season hasn't started.

And it's obvious that you would rather play the odds at tanking than actually trying to be competitive.

And if you can believe in playing the odds, why can there not be a situation of drafting where you finish and actually draft a guy under the radar...Datszuk, Benn, Gaudreau. I'd rather those odds any day over tanking.

I am talking about last year that's it and you're bringing up the past you cast even admit how poopty you guys were just make the injury excuse and take jabs about the leafs. Leafs have been terrible for a long time I know that, I have never said otherwise.

The Oilers didn't tank for McDavid or maybe they did, I just thought they tanked about 5 years or more ago and haven't been able to get out of it.
