Keith is 33, Seabrook 31. It's possible neither finishes out their current contracts, but barring serious injury, I'd expect both to still be playing in 3 years. Due to his style of play and concussion history, I'd say Seabrook is less likely to finish out his contract. Keith on the other hand is a health and fitness nut who plays a style that is well suited to career longevity. It wouldn't shock me a bit if he was still playing into his late 30's.

Same could be said for Hossa, though my guess is he'll be Prongered at some point to avoid potential recapture penalties.

- Ogilthorpe2

Keith and seabrook may play out their contracts. But in the "3" year time frame they will not be top end defenders anymore. They will be bottom pairing light duty guys.

I want to back this jays team, really do. Way too many strikeouts from the hitters though. Read somewhere they're 9-41 when they score 4 runs or less and playoffs are all about that small ball.

You might want to get that checked out.

Yeah, I went there.

So bored, and my back is (frank)ing killing me.

But seriously, that record sucks.

Those aren't the same pads/design he wore last year are they?

Looks like he's going a little Garth Snow on us. Those shoulder pads are awfully tall.

Best one I could find of the obscenely big ones.

Well, solid drive to end the game, bullpoop no call, then an iffy call. Our backups held up well in the first quarter, but seemed to get tired in the second. Way too many penalties. Although 2 of the "roughing the passer" ones were absurd. Even still. It doesn't matter who coaches/plays for this team. They always take too many penalties.

Ed Hochuli is the biggest joke. He used to be good. What happened? Steroids rot his brain or something?

It all started with that Chargers game like 5ish years ago where he totally blew the call. I think he called a Rivers fumble when it was an incomplete pass, or vice versa, looked at it in replay and upheld his call. It was all downhill from there.

Edit: Typo and addition.

Yeah. They came and snaked it. Everything seems to be in working order again.

I thought McCabe would be exempt but you're right reading it a bit closer. I would agree on that swap. If they re-sign Kulikov then another player would have to come out as well. Ennis?

Kulikov is the wild card. Could be huge for us. I hope we don't do anything stupid like trying to play Nylander this year before he is ready.

Kane will take himself of the list by doing something else stupid. He could end up in Vegas. Perfect spot for him
