The Oil got Larsson for their best winger. I can't imagine them getting much for Yak although I believe he will be amazing on a new team. I am thinking someone like Brett Lernout and maybe a 3 or 4 round pick. Lernout is not amazing but he does resemble the type of players Chiarelli drafted this year.

Still don't understand people who defend the Weber deal or the Larsson deal. Actually given the Oiler's long term desperation for RHD the Larsson deal is a little easier for me to understand. Still I wouldn't defend either and I certainly wouldn't be in denial about Weber's decline.

It's more about following where your natural interests lie and not arbitrarily being attached to one particular logo. I don't see the point in pretending that the Avs are still my favorite team just because they were my fav team when I was < 10 yo.

Mostly I just like watching talented hockey players and I tend to lean towards Canadian teams.

Yeah, when I was a little kid they were in their glory years with Blake, Bourque, Sakic, Roy and Forsberg so I liked following them the most. Sue me.

I don't run around declaring who my 'favorite' team is and pretend to be the best fan that team has or any of that stupid poop. My interest just slowly changes over time and I don't try to fight it.

I like hockey in general, I like watching talented players, I don't tie my undying loyalties to one particular city/logo. All of the important aspects of an organization (in my opinion) change over time anyways so why shouldn't my interests?
