Personally, I am happy Lehner is sitting out the World Cup of Hockey. He needs to continue to rehab and be 100% for the regular season. I think he could be one of the biggest surprises of the year if he can stay healthy. If Lehner stays healthy the Sabres will make the playoffs.

Also, I think Ennis will have a 25 goal campaign if he also avoids the injury bug. He will be with the most talented group of forwards he has ever been with and he has shown in the past that he can put up 20+ goals a year.

I'm frankly surprised to hear Lehner still isn't 100%. I wonder if it was the polite way of declining the spot on the team.

I really want Ennis to succeed too, and wonder how long it has been since he played in a real NHL quality system.
