TO DAL: MAF, Daniel Sprong + Pascal Dupuis(whom you can put on your LTIR)
TO PIT: Valeri Nichushkin + Antti Niemi

Even if this was even, why would you trade for another goalie? |

F Nicushkin a I hope he goes to the KHL and it's one of the teams that don't pay their players on time. After the dirty hit he laid on Maatta last year he doesn't belong anywhere |

1) This allows the Pens to able to protect Murray in the draft.
2) The Pens would still need a back-up.
3) The Pens can leave Niemi unprotected.
The MAF/Murray situation is not going to be an easy one for the Pens. Murray is the goalie of their future, but they are forced to protect MAF. Moving Fleury isn't going to be an easy undertaking.
This move doesn't solve things financially, but it also doesn't hurt the financially. |

I wonder how the defense pairings will look with Keith out. If you pair teammates (which makes the most sense in a tournament like this):
Muzzin - Doughty
Vlasic - Burns
Bouwmesster - Pietrangelo
But I doubt Shea Weber is the odd one out. I'd move Burns up to forward slot and have Weber play with Vlasic. thoughts? |

The Sabres would be further ahead searching for a tender with Robin Lame-ner already injured, AGAIN.
Man, did the Sens ever do a number on the Sabres here. - As_I_See_It
I am still shocked by that trade. Lehrer never got any starts in Ottawa when it mattered. Ottawa brought in Bishop when Anderson went down, that should have been Lehmer's opportunity. I think the issue with Lehner is that he loses his place in the net and ends up badly misplacing angles and letting in what appears to be,soft goals.

Not sure the coaching comparison of Lindy Ruff and Mike Babcock makes a lot of sense. See some similarities of personality but not a lot in coaching style. |

When he played he was pretty decent, here. It's the fact that he got injured day 1 that kills it. If he plays 50-60 games I can get over the price (although it was still too high). If he plays 30 it's a lot harder to let go. |

Let's not overthink this, maybe Lehner is just a fragile, poop and grossly overrated tender.
