spending weekend afternoons trying to get rid of a computer virus or trouble shoot something that could turn into a few hours of hair pulling, all for a case of beer, took some of the fun out of the hobby. - hillbillydeluxe
Your biggest mistake was that you mixed friends and family with business. I would never sell a PC to my family. The moment you do that you become their IT tech. Trouble shooting everything, doing all updates, dealing with every fecking issue. For some reason friends and family feel that if they buy from you then you owe them lifetime support on top of almost giving the stuff away for free.
I dare they pull this poop with best buy or wherever the feck they buy their IT from. |

Still a good deal. I work in the IT industry and prices like these are rare these days. Even though the proc clock speed is low it has SSD for HD so you will not see hangups when loading apps. As long as you are not heavy load multitasking. I would suggest getting an External HD for all data to be saved on and set that as default. Use the built in SSD for Apps only. - Linden_4_Capt
I was thinking a 64gb or 128gb usb would do the trick, tho a little slow, if the kid needs extra storage and didn't want to use the cloud.
It is really just for school work when he is there, if needed. His penmanship is
I will pass on to him to just use the internal for apps, but damn teens don't seem to listen and just rolls his eyes when I try to give him any sort of pointers.. |

I'm a push over.
Always want to help people then get taken for granted..
with the prices of the operating system, it doesn't make much sense to do custom builds for people that want to save money, best buy with what they have absolutely makes more sense. |

Where are the rankings from?
I agree generally with where Vancouver stands, though I think they could be argued they have a top 10 pool based on some of their high end talents.
Arizona to me has the best quantity and quality of prospects, while Toronto has some extremely high end ones, I dont see as having much more beyond that. Winnipeg's prospects I like but they are starting to age to a point where stock might be dropping |

The list is from ESPN or Corey Pronman who watches A LOT of junior hockey and NCAA.
Vancouver will be top 10 after next years draft as boeser and olli wont be playing this season.
Arizona is crazy deep.
Strome, Keller, Garland, Dvorak all scored triple digit points
Chychrun and Deangelo are good defensive prospects.
Toronto doesn't have any goalies, and maybe 1 top 20 defenseman |

Corey Pronman of ESPN.
He does good work, a rarity among ESPN guys. |

Are you sure you are not Benning? Did you buy the warranty as well? - Linden_4_Capt
extra warranties scare me and when sales people are aggressive, I usually just walk away.
the only time I paid for the extra warranty was on a tv from Visions, if you didn't use the warranty they gave you an in store credit for the same amount... I don't know how they were able to do it, I ended up going back and picking up a gps with the credit. |

Pronman really is the only good guy from Espn, he said today Toronto over Arizona because he probably wouldn't take Arizonas whole system over Mathews Marner Nylander. That said Leafs have really no high-end D guys like you were saying, probably no top 20 D prospects and same with goalies. Loaded with forward Talend tho. Arizona really does have a nice prospects group though, they've added alot in the past like 2 years |

Did Pronman define what he considers prospects?
I think WPG has the best group of young players because they have forwards, D and Goalies.
Islanders would also be top 5 for me.

Elite Talent takes precedence...... Thats why Toronto and Arizona are 1 & 2
Winnipeg is good with a bunch of good prospects, with Laine being elite.
Demko is the top goalie prospect in the NHL according to him and Juolevi is the 3rd best defenman prospect
He value's "Hockey IQ" very high |

Does not include guys who have played in the NHL.
So while Carolina is at #5, their list doesn't include Noah Hanifin, Jaccob Slavin, Brett Pesce, Phil Di Giuseppe... |

From CA,
"The Canucks are one injury away from being a 30th place team. And I mean 30th place team by a sizeable margin. There just isn't a lot of high-end talent on this roster. And the players that you might consider high-end are all on the wrong side of 30. This season could get ugly. Really, really ugly."

I was a little surprised to read this, I'm guessing we are battling for a wc spot unless we experience a bunch of injuries. |

I don't mind Pronman as he usually has a bit of a different take than some of the other traditional rankings. If he think Mathews, Marner and Nylander trumps Arizona's system he is full of it.
Those 3 prospects might come in ahead of any of Arizona's prospects but they have maybe 10 blue chippers. |

I agree, Marner and Matthews are high end but TO doesn't have that much depth compared to some of the other top 10 teams. I would def. consider Arizona and Winnipeg higher. Perhaps PHI as well. |

You aren't fimiliarh with their system then, they're have lots of prospect depth. Mostly on forward as they have quite a few high potential forwards. Defence has decent depth but no top end guy and goalentending is pretty weak but Woll seems okay. |

I've seen Nylander play live and he doesn't do much of anything when he doesn't have the puck. He only likes to play offence, has no concept of defensive zone coverage or awareness from my taking in a couple of marlies games against Hershey in the playoffs and talking to a buddy of mine who was practice goalchie for the Bears.
Marner seems small. Matthews is the one legit guy who will make a difference. But one solid guy doesn't trump the whole of the yotes' system. I'd venture Buffalo has a few talented pieces still in their system. Phi as well. |

Damn, I just found my cat dead. - A_SteamingLombardi
Sorry to hear. A few years ago I was on the computer and my two cats were play fighting. One of them started coughing like he has a hair ball and next thing he was lying there eyes and mouth open dead. He was only 7, had a heart murmur that was found when he was young, guess it took him.
Two weeks later we got another cat, and that's life with pets. |
