I take a look at the first have of the Canucks' 2016-17 schedule in the new blog. Not nearly as ominous as last year!

I live in bc ...I've seen plenty of Canucks games ...I know what I'm talking about ...I'm not saying JV won't be good but you can't call last year a success developmentally for him can you ?
Bo is a good player but can you honestly say his development is due to strategic developmental moves by the Canucks or him just being good enough to play ?

You can't say the Canucks will be fine because they will draft well and develop properly and therefore there is no need to tank and get high end talent ...you have no evidence of this ...yet ...in a few years can you say this ...maybe ...right now your just hopeful

I think the drafting outside of the first round has been better with Benning ...time will tell though

Understandable there are some concerns around JV but he did show upside 2nd half last season. I think a year in Utica will serve him well.

Bo on the other hand is progressing perfectly. Good rookie season and even though doused in defensive responsibilities last year he still managed improvements in every aspect of his game other than +/-...all that playing hard minutes vs every teams top 6 every night as a sophomore.

Bergeron had a torrid 2nd season in Boston +/- as well and look at him now. Not saying Bo is Bergeron as that is not the case but he's going to be close...and our next Captain.

Okay, I'll post some unnecessary supporting evidence of the obvious (they're stories not because of the common sense notion that Canadians generally support the Jays, but because the rest of Canada hates everything Toronto, yet still generally support the Jays).

you say that those people are a tiny minority. (opinion)

he says that you can believe what you wish. (you believe what you want and he'll do the same.)

I cited three pieces of journalism that write stories based on the accepted notion that Canadian baseball fans generally support the Jays. These journalists don't feel the need to lend any supporting evidence to this premise because it's widely accepted as fact.
