111: Brendan Lemeiux
115: Josh Ho Sang

I don't know that it is that surprising. Jack was a rookie last year. I guess O'Reilly and maybe Risto would at least be in the 40's. That stuff doesn't bother me - our time is near.

Jack should be listed. Other than that no one should. And that's kind of my point.
We have 1 really high end NHL player. That's it. |

With everyone gushing over the Leafs prospects, I'm not surprised. We thought we had a bunch a few years back. Will be interesting to see how many of theirs actually make it |

All I care about is the record at the end of the year. Anybody care to guess how I think we're going to do? |

On GR a few minutes ago:
Franson: (paraphrasing) "Last year was my worst year as a pro"
Rivet and Peters: (paraphrasing) "Completely disagree. Thought he was very good last year"

Agreed, but more high end players usually means a better record. |

Coho, the wife and I went to Cornerstone the other night for dinner. Food was good, decent little place. We might try to the fish fry on Friday. |

With that thought in mind, of the following two options, and the following two only, which would be better for the Sabres long term chances of winning a cup?
A. The team plays well this year and makes the playoffs as a wild card, then regresses to miss the playoffs in 2017-2018, similar to what happened to Calgary the past two seasons, before having a big year all around in 2018-2019.
OR
B. The team plays well in stretches again this year, but ends up a bottom 5 team due to a couple of injuries and losing many close games, then they have a big year in 2017-2018 with the higher picks they would have as a result of the bottom 5 season.
Tough for me to say which is better as both would mean more top end talent coming in, which they need.
Not sure which of the two above would mean Murray has a greater chance of being let go. |

At this point in the process, I'll take progression towards competitiveness in lieu of another top draft pick. So "A". |

So I had a job interview in Chicago yesterday, met their management team and all and one of the partners of the firm his son was drafted by the Black Hawks in the 6th rd last year. Local kid drafted by the home town team. Cool story.
And an edit- American Airlines sucks. |

I can't accept a scenario where we're bad in 17-18. Eichel, Reinhart, Nylander on ELC gives you flexibility. Ditto McCabe making 1.3 mil. Risto one year older, more moves made in the off season.
