I usually buy it every year, but I am not sure this year, due to Sabres roster not changing much. (Getting Eichel and Rinehart were huge for me).

I usually sell NHL(previous year) during stanley cup to get ~$30 to help offset costs, totally missed that this year.

I haven't looked into it too much, I generally buy it for the updated rosters. But I did see they added a feature where you can move a current team to a new area and re-name it/re-design the jerseys which looks really cool.
