Something is going on with my PC, it's telling me that my copy of windows isn't legit and I know that it is. Computer isn't set up to run windows 10 so maybe I need a complete upgrade. Found a nice Dell laptop at Best Buy for $280.00

If you do nothing other than browse the internet/e-mail, then pretty much anything cheap you find will be good for you. It's once you start getting into doing more and more that you need to worry about the "power" of a PC/laptop.

Looks like Goose may retire.

Are our centers this year ROR, Eichel, Girgensons, and Larsson? Are we sure we couldn't use another David Legwand-esq player to play on the 4th line

Depends if you want to move it.

Desktops you get more bang for your buck. Laptops are more convenient.

This. The first question should be: do I want to take it places with me? Second question should be: Do I REALLY want to take it places with me? Generally, the answer to the second question is "no, not really" in which case you're definitely better off with a desktop.

And, Dell is a garbage can with a processor.

I always had a desktop until I finally got a laptop and now won't go back. I use mine for stuff that I couldn't do with a desktop. Going to fantasy drafts at buddies house, take with me when travelling, hook up to my outdoor projector to watch movies outside, hook up to TV to stream things i couldn't get on my TV feed and a lot of others. So much more convenient.

Pretty much all laptops are that though. I have a high end HP that is a piece of crap abd even after a complete re-image it still runs like crap.

Having said that, unless you are playing newer, intensive graphic video games then pretty much any laptop will do whatever you need it to do and most people don't do anything that would really cause noticeable or significant differences in performance.

Then you might want to get something uber cheap and not worry about buying warranties and garbage like that

Agree. My desktop is an old Windows XP box that I use only when I am working from home. Laptop for everything else, Chromebox permanently under my TV for KODI.

Get a Kodi device to do all of the stuff around your home our outside. Much more convenient than dragging your laptop around.

That is a nice deal. Basic machine, bluetooth and HDMI ... most people would not need more than that.

I have setup android boxes (matricom) and Chromeboxes (Asus) for Kodi.

Even though they cost more, the Chromeboxes are significantly better in my experience.

So, are we safe to say this is our team for the upcoming season? Has anyone heard any credible rumors that we may still be looking to upgrade anywhere?

There's always the annual September dumpster dive of FA's that priced themselves out of the market *cough*Russell*cough*

Short of a trade, I think 4th line C is the only spot that might come from outside.

Haha! Yeah, like Franson last year. I don't see us making that type of a move, I feel like the trade route is the only way Buffalo adds at this point.

Have an 8 month old iMac as my personal computer, a 3-year old Dell Inspiron for work. Have maxed out the RAM in both, they're decent machines. Needless to say, I don't watch much video / play many games on the Dell - and since bumping the RAM from the stock 2GB (!) to 8 (cost all of $50) it runs like a top.

Right now, I'd say the bottom 2 lines will start off as something like...
Foligno-Larsson-Gionta
And
Moulson-Girgensons-Deslauriers
Or maybe Cal O'Reilly centers that line w Girgensons on the wing

Either way,
I guess both will get roughly the same icetime
And our top2 lines will play a lot

Corey Pronman's top 10 Sabres prospects:

1. Alexander Nylander, RW (11)
2. Rasmus Asplund, C (101)
3. Brendan Guhle, D
4. Hudson Fasching, RW
5. Justin Bailey, RW
6. Cliff Pu, C
7. Will Borgen, D
8. Giorgio Estephan, C
9. Nick Baptiste, RW
10. Linus Ullmark, G

Cal Peterson has to be at least 9th, doesn't he?

Yes, can throw Baptiste out of there as from everything I read he took a step back this year in his progression. I also think Bailey has surpassed Fasching.

Tough to project goalies,
But i'd agree that Peterson should be on the list
I'd also have Bailey at #2
And Borgen & Baptiste up a little higher

Not a MAC guy, but that iMac you have is a pretty nice machine!
