If reviews said it wasn't good, that more than likely means it was amazing. And vice versa. They are horrible. I don't need a 95 year old man that can't see the screen, telling me what is good and what is bad. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
I am a bit of a movie buff. When you go to Rotten Tomatoes and see that a movie is almost universally killed (Damon himself hinted that it was disappointing) I think it is safe to assume that it is bad. For some reason people want to watch bad movies. |

murray won that negotiation - homiedclown
That's the only thing Murray "won" this off-season. Other than overpaying for TJ Oshie that is. |

Everyone overpays in free agency - that's the price of tea. I actually thought Okposo would have cost a little more. |

Before he signed, there was a rumor going around in here that he STANK for more than 6M |

said none of the reviews (and Matt Damon, indirectly) - Slump Buster

Pay no attention to the troll...he's about to join his "main" account soon it appears. That's 2 in here so far, all sad because their trolling place is unavailable (and one's a "Sabres fan"!) |

The Oshie part was half-compliment though I think, meaning Murray won by not signing him. |

Shouldn't be an issue. Just the way sports work though. If it were up to GMs, every player would be signed to a one year deal. |

I actually agree. I do think the Okposo contract will be one they want to get out from under in about 4 years. If they win a cup before then, it doesn't matter, though. |

At least it'll be further down the road than we wanted to be out from under Moulson's....
2 years won't be bad, and in 4 years that 6M will be more equivalent to a current 4.5-5M contract - not great, but not as bad. |

Not so much this game, but the entire pre season approach has me concerned. Rex is treating the starters on both sides like they're the 90's Bills. All the rest they're getting, they better be ready to roll in Baltimore. I'm not sure if it was an Ameriica's Game, or a Football life, but it was about the 86 Giants and it was awesome. The sideline exchanges between Parcells and Simms were hilarious. Never knew Simms was such a wise ass! Makes me like him. Anyhow, Parcells said he stopped being Mr. nice guy to the players. Dareus, Karlos's Williams, the prisoners are starting to run the asylum. We need the "go get a god damn snack" Rex to come back. - Hatboro_Swords
Stopped reading after this. Best decision Rex has made since coming here is barely playing the starters in the preseason. Look no further than Dallas |

To be honest, that is exactly why I was apprehensive about Okposo as the "consolation prize" for Stamkos. Okposo may or may not have been the best FA candidate available, but to me, it was the equivalent of winning a $60 50/50 drawing at an elementary school fundraiser. |

To be fair, he kind of had no choice. A higher than normal percentage of them got hurt in camp. |

2 or 3 shutouts like tonight should get fat ass and his brother fired, with luck. - SABRES 89
Well seeing as the next 16 games aren't the 4th preseason game I wouldn't expect us to be running the Wishbone offense. You don't like Rex, fine. It's the last preseason game. It indicates less than nothing. |

He did have a choice, he could have played McCoy, Watkins, Taylor, Clay and the rest of the starters in week 3 for an extended period like most do. Our main injuries happened on the defense so he could have gone all out with the offense. Probably should have done that week 4 since apparently getting shut out week 4 of preseason is a harbinger of things to come. |
