It's a great deal, especially if they stick him with a permanent role and use him to the best of his abilities. For a player of his caliber, it can't get much worse. Johan Larsson money was a great play here.

not sure what they think...last season it seemed as if he and Bylsma had a pretty rocky relationship, but we don't know what went on behind the scenes...from gus's perspective, he never had a home to work out the kinks in his game within bylsma's system...and from bylsma's perspective, he never had a home because he was too inconsistent...

That means assets going out to acquire a 50-60 point guy, who I don't imagine comes cheap on the trade market. Murray already gets bashed for pieces he's traded away, this would just be more things to "deplete the prospect pool"

I totally agree with that. If Murray doesn't acquire anymore forwards and we go into the season with Ennis and Moulson in the top 9, they will need to perform for this team to be successful. And of course Lehner has to stay injury free.
