I was taking the bus to go back home and lo and behold, two dogs decide that the perfect time to (frank) was at a bus stop near downtown.
It was the funniest, yet the most extreme cringe worthy moment in my life. A lot of parents on that bus will probably have to explain what the hell just happened to their kids. |

Nurse on pair 1 - Garnie Projecting him out and pairing him with a solid offensive D-man could work really well.
I just noticed the Oilers website has listed current line combos
Klefbom / Larsson
Davidson / Sekera
Nurse / Fayne
Lucic / McDavid / Eberle
Maroon / Draisaitl / Yakupov
Pouliot / RNH / Kassian
Hendrick / Letestu / Pakarinen - LittleRickyV2
and??..... wouldn't the RNH line be #2?
I think he will and he will take the Kassian spot on line three and Kassian will take the Pakarinen spot on line four.
Pouliot / RNH / Puljarvi would make a solid two way line. - LittleRickyV2
hmm.... seems like a good option... how can we justify having RNH as #3 center??

Spreading the wealth. Pouliot has chemistry with Nuge and Kassian can be the net front presence.
I'd be more worried about Draisaitl being saddled with Maroon and Yak. I would rather have Maroon with McDavid and Eberle and Lucic with Draisaitl and Yak.
Then again its all off season speculation so who the (frank) knows what the actual lineup will look like. |

He'll be more effective as shutdown C than Leon would be (or at least more proven). Regardless, his line and Leon's line are likely going to play comparable minutes, but Leon and his linemates are more likely to get a zone start push. I'm not convinced that Nuge's two-way game is all that much better than Leon's right now, but that remains to be seen.
Lucic*- McDavid*- Yak (13mins EV, mixed starts)
Maroon- Leon*- Eberle* (12mins EV, soft starts)
Pouliot*- Nuge*- Kassian (12mins EV, modersate starts)
Hendricks- Lets- Pakarinen (8mins EV, tough starts)
Sub Puljujarvi, Khaira, Caggiula, and Slepyshev in as earned and watch the line-up fill out very nicely heading into next season. |

Hillary Clinton goes to a gifted-student primary school in New York to talk about the world. After her talk she offers question time.
One little boy puts up his hand. Hillary asks him what his name is. "Kenneth," he says.
"And what is your question, Kenneth?" she asks.
"I have three questions," he says.
"First -- whatever happened in Benghazi?
"Second -- why would you run for president if you are not capable of handling two e-mail accounts?
"And, third -- whatever happened to the missing six billion dollars while you were Secretary of State?"
Just then the bell rings for recess. Hillary informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess.
When they resume Hillary says, "Okay, where were we? Oh, that's right, question time.
Who has a question?"
A different boy -- little Johnny -- puts his hand up.
Hillary points to him and asks him what his name is.
"Johnny," he says.
"And what is your question, Johnny?" she asks.
"I have five questions," he says.
"First -- whatever happened in Benghazi?
"Second -- why would you run for president if you are not capable of handling two e-mail accounts?
"Third -- whatever happened to the missing six billion dollars while you were Secretary of State?
"Fourth -- why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?
"And, fifth -- where's Kenneth?" - laughs2907

If he's saddled with Yak and Maroon I just hope McLellan gives that line butter-soft minutes and plays them sparingly in close away games then I'd be fine. I'm confident he'll shuffle the lines enough that even if they start that way, they'll be unlikely to stay together for all that long. The bright side is if he has a bad or mediocre year (35-45 points), he'll be easily locked up at a lower cap hit! |

Personally I see Draisaitl as a Jordan Staal type center (which I'm cool with). If he can post 20 goals/50 points per year while keeping the opposition honest then I will be a happy camper. |

I see him as more of a Backstrom-lite; high end playmaker with a stocky build that has an underrated two-way game. I see him and Puljujarvi forming a fantastic duo down the road. On the other hand, I see Nuge as a Krejci-lite; smaller two-way C with great playmaking skills and a sweet wrister. If Nuge ends up being a clutch playoff performer, that'd complete my comparison.
I think it'll be hard to keep them all and ice a Cup contending line-up, but it'll depend wildly on Leon and Connor's 2nd contracts. |

Nah, I see LD as a Kopitar type of player IF he reaches his full potential. LD has the potential to play the similar style of play Kopitar thrives in; the two-way complete centerman that thrives in defensive situations due to his strength, IQ, size, and positioning, but also is a force to be reckoned with on the attack due to his stick-handling, vision, and transitional ability to move the puck accordingly and relatively with his preferred pace (he controls how fast the play moves, which we have seen him do before).
In other words,
Max'd Potential-Anze Kopitar
Good Potential-Backstrom
Half assed potential-Jordan Staal |

My issue with the Kopi comparable is that Draisaitl doesn't have the frame to dominate the same way Kopi does (6'1 Vs 6'4). Beyond that, Kopitar is much more assertive in his physical game. Not necessarily through hitting, but by purely overpowering plebs in the corners. Leon on the other hand takes a more positioning and stickplay based approach to corner battles despite already having "man strength" (like Backstrom).
Offensively, Leon's game is far more pass-focused due in part to his lack of quick hands. He's got a deft touch for puck protection and backhand plays but rarely seems to dangle the opposition. It's a much quieter form of domination. Kopitar also relied far more on his shot early in his career in a way I don't think Leon ever will.
Lastly, I think Kopi's skatework is in a tier Leon just fundamentally won't be able to reach. He's got excellent straight line speed, but lacks the edgework or explosiveness. On the other hand, Kopi started out the exact opposite then developed his top end speed to around league average. |

Nothing happens, rumors, nothing happens, rumors, nothing happens, rumors, BIG RUMORS, MASSIVE RUMORS, and then Stamkos signs for less than what was expected (Almost 1.5-2mill less than expected) with the team that drafted him.

I thought you were going to say one of the following...
1) He regressed
2) Signed long-term with the team that originally drafted him |

No, don't think so. Draisaitl won't warrant enough money for that type of hype and McDavid seems like the type to do what Crosby did (take a solid discount at 9.7). |

I don't think Draisaitl will surpass 55 points this season. Not sure what that means for his cap but I'm expecting a step down in production with Hall being moved.
