Yes he is. He had a real good year in the AHL. Fit him in with Guhle and Nelson and some of the other nice d prospects we have and you have a good future there. If Ruff wants Ennis bad enough why not do a deal of that ilk?

Saw a couple of holes in it: 1) He's a RW not the LW we need 2) A lot to pay for a guy that just got 29 pts last year

I wouldn't be opposed to it if they can figure out how to drop the 2nd rounder to a 4th or later. I do think he could be a guy that needs a change of scenery to improve.

I feel like a broken record. As it stands now we only have 2 RW on the roster. Okposo and Gionta. That doesn't strike me as sufficient. Reinhart played well there last year, sure, but he can also probably play the left side if he can play C and RW, especially being a left shot. We need wingers of all stripes, but especially RW.

As for the rumor itself, I feel it's very interesting, but I'm not sure if we should be the team adding on this one. Ennis is a consistent 20 goal score who had a tough go last year. Other players have come back from bad concussions and there is no reason as of right now to believe Ennis won't bounce back either. Nuchushkin has done nothing so far in his career to prove a Ennis ++ return. I think we may be trading for our next Grigorenko here. Let Ennis play in this seasons top 6 and get a decent return for the guy at the deadline if he needs to be moved so badly.

Also cap space accrues like compound interest. I want to say it's bi-weekly, but I'm not entirely sure, it could be monthly. At the deadline there will be teams that could spend $40M+ in real salary, they could take on Crosby, Malkin, Kane, Toews, and Ovechkin without having to shed any salary, because most of their salary has already been paid for the year, and the amount of cap space the team has left.

So if Ennis plays well during the pre season will this trade happen? Can Nich play LW? Or would he be better at RW on the 3rd line?

I feel like this would be an in season, maybe even deadline deal. There are too many variables. What does the team look like down the right side? The left side? Up the middle? It's nice to have a few guys who are position flexible in Reinhart and Ennis. Even O'Reilly if catastrophe happens has shown he can thrive on the wing.

He got banned twice in like 10 minutes, the first was the link to porn, the second was the fake rumor. If I had to guess the second time was a zero tolerance type thing because he had just done something stupid.

I wouldn't think you'd get banned, but sometimes the mods aren't exactly consistent. Especially since there are more than one, and what is fine for one might be over the line with another. But it is in the CoC, so if someone's feeling froggy they can drop the hammer.

Edit: I'm all for hearing what everyone is hearing, it helps to create a fuller picture. Corroboration and such.

Double Edit: The CoC could use an update because rule 8 is about not speculating on Eklund's, or other bloggers identities. Yet he does a daily podcast in which he shows his face.

Wow! Thanks for the heads up, but I can't believe they would ban people for that. I've been coming on this site since 2005 and been seeing Ekland put up rumors virtually daily-WITHOUT SOURCES- none of which have ever come true. And, that's the thing about rumors, sometimes they are true. I come to talk hockey with people who love the game, but as for inside information coming down the grape vine this site has earned its nickname H.L.&C
