Ask yourself this question, after all they gave up for Kane why would they move him at the low point when he isn't worth much from what happen? Regardless what owners and GM's do in person and on TV, this is business an it makes no sense to move Kane for nothing. They didn't call the Rangers. - SABRES 89
I have no comment about calls to/from the Rangers but I agree with everything else you posted here. Any decent businessman/woman wouldn't trade Kane at this point in time. And I am pretty sure Pegula is a good businessman.
My prediction/hope is that Murray has that sit down with Kane and his agent. Murray tells him to play hockey and stop embarrassing himself and the organization that is paying him $5 million per year. Kane responds with a 25g + 25a season and 8 fighting majors. The Sabres then have a decision to make - do they resign or do they trade him when he has some actual value.

Kane can be a really good hockey player if he would just pull his head out of his a$$, he would do really well in this system. As far as trading him goes, we should wait and see not only with him but with Ennis as well and i'm not an Ennis fan. We could be a very good team if both of these players work out. |

They like Bailey, AVS and Jets wanted him in deals and Murray said no. do you give him up for a top notch D man ? - SABRES 89
Yes, absolutely
And I really like Bailey as well
What do u mean by "top notch" though?
I can't imagine Anaheim, for example, would send us Lindholm with Bailey as the main piece headed to them
If there's a good enough defenseman that becomes available...
I'd try to make Fasching the main piece
I feel they have similar upside & value, I just like Bailey better |

My rebuttal to this would be- Don't you think that's already happened in Winnipeg, and here after the All Star incident?
If they want to trade Kane, it has nothing to do with improving the team and everything to do with not exposing him to 15 and 23.
I think they need to pray he keeps himself out of the news and just plays. |

Honestly, Kane doesn't need a guy to set him up. He needs to be on a line that's not expected to produce offense every game. When Kane is on, he's a force, when he's off, he's a line killer.
Play him 16 min a night with Girgensons and someone else and let them play a strong fore-check, net crashing type game - sbroads24
Idk that I necessarily agree with that
A lot of Kane's shot seem to come off him trying to "create"
If he can find open ice, and have a guy like Reinhart setting him up, I think that can help his accuracy & shooting %
I could be mistaken here,
But wasn't he shooting at a better rate later in the season when he was playing w Eichel & Reinhart? |

At this point...
I just think it's gonna be all on Kane
No one can force him to grow up
He has to want to
Hopefully he gets it together |

Yeah, makes sense that they'll all talk
But they can tell him he needs to grow up...
if he doesn't want to then it's all just useless talk
Hopefully he can finally get his sh!t together
I do like him as a player
Did u see I responded to your question about trading Bailey? |

Problem is he is a guy who creates his own chances. He doesn't really catch and shoot so to speak.
I know people hate hearing this, but he's a prototypical checking winger |

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if he's playing with someone that can actually pass him the puck, then he won't have to be a "create his own chance" kinda guy
I'm not saying he's Ovechkin, but he has a good shot
Idk who he played with early on in Winnipeg when his shooting % was better, but I'd be that it was with more talent then the last couple seasons he was there
He's gonna play with either Jack, Sam or ROR though
So hopefully he can mesh somewhere & produce at a better rate |

I thought he began playing a smarter (if we can associate that word with him) game when he was with 15 & 23. He actually started to look to passs rather than make those stupid shot selections from the boards near the blue line. I would like to see him on that line. Put Ennis on the left with ROR, maybe he too can stay after school and Improve his game ... Get deep into the zone, stop screwing around at the blue line. |

He definitely did in the last 20 games or so. That line was very hard to stop. There were a lot of give and goes, and who can forget the Carolina game in OT? That's 2 guys who know each other. For better or worse.
Edit: Maybe I'm giving them too much credit, and that was really "oh, there's 5 seconds left, what the hell?". But either way, it was a perfect lob pass. |

I'm kind of lukewarm on my team.
Standard scoring, 4 pts for QB TD, 6 for RB, WR, TE. No PPR. Return TDs for players only, no yardage.
1 QB- Brady, Bortles
3 WR- Dez, Landry, Fitzgerald, Jordan Matthews, Sterling Sheppard
2 RB- Gurley, McCoy, Ryan Matthews, Blount, Abdullah I had to take them, they just kept falling to me, I wish it was a flex league
1TE- Jordan Reed
I'm not very enamored with my WRs, Bryant with a rookie should still be good, and hopefully Romo can come back, I really like Landry though, Fitz has to slow down eventually, right? But with my RBs I should be able to swing a trade. A starting RB on their team(Abdullah, and somewhat Blount) fell to me in the 13th and 12th round respectively, my last player picks before K and DEF, Bortles in the 10th, I wanted Newton, but my backup plan was Brady/Bortles. These guys were picking K and DEF in like the 8th and 9th rounds. |

Jack Eichel?
More like Jacked Eichel!
Would you look at the pipes on that guy!
Eichel has committed himself to pumping iron this summer in preparation of the World Cup of Hockey and his sophomore season in Buffalo.
Seeing is believing.
Notice the increases in muscle in Eichel's biceps, triceps, pecs, lats, traps and core.
Eichel clearly has done the work in the gym.
I love the jorts, Jack! Gonna get me three pairs.
Jack better get a permit to bring those guns back to Buffalo. |

He did start to look to pass more, they were still off line and nowhere near the right touch. Zero offensive prowess, wouldn't be able to find open ice on Lake Erie in January. He replaced Zhitnik for greatest Sabre of all time to shoot high and wide of the net. Mix that with his stupid off ice shenanigans and you get a player I can't stand. He sucks. Oh, and if you're down a goal late in the 3rd, keep him on the bench. Unless you plan on tying the game with a shortie. |

If you're serious.
I ended up deleting it, because JD was the only one who responded. It was a very last minute idea I had, and Yahoo changed the way they post the leagues, so there was no way I was going to get 9 people to randomly click on my league in just couple hours. I can make another one easily enough. If we can get 5 more we could do it, I really wouldn't want to do it with less than 8, 10 would be better. |
