Stripes posted a tweet in the last message board that he still isn't under contract and the Isles have a rule in place that if a player isn't signed at the start of camp, they're out for the year.

As to whether he's "on the block," it's up for debate I guess.

it's hard to say. He hasn't exactly been killing it for them. But I don't particularly think they've handled him very well overall. He had pretty decent stats 2 years ago and then fell back quite a bit this year.

Would be pretty steep IMO.

But I would send Girgensons and a 2nd for him (I don't think that gets it done though)

am of the opinion that they may keep things as is for a while unless something big comes along...they're still seeing who amongst the current roster will fit in plus the prospect ranks have been diminished with all the trading murray has done...and there's the expansion draft, strome would need to be protected

great point, but they still need to protect the best of the talent they have this time round and adding a player who's not a bona fide top-six player really doesn't help them out either this season or at the expansion draft

I still don't know how I feel about this trade at all. I'm going to reserve making my judgement on him as a player until at least 10ish games into the season.

I really don't think he's a top pair guy, but I'm all for him proving me wrong.
