maybe sexual assault? cant speak for him but thats what I have against him. Then again... reading some of the arguments against weber for allowing himself to be hit from behind I'm thinking that there are quite a few "they were asking for it" people out there.

That was the most idiotic thing ever. I had to check that I wasn't watching an American feed. That hit was dirt garbage dirt poop dirt!

As for Gardiner, he was much improved this season and made fewer critical defensive errors but still has a lot of work to do. I like Gardiner and I believe he is a legit top 4 but to even have a dream where he is better than Reilly is madness.

We need better advanced stats before we can call him an elite defensive player. I would like to count "Critical Errors / 60 TOI" or "# of times grossly out of position / 60 TOI".

It's all good to have a nice little Corsi or Fenwick. Maybe you were on the ice for only 3 shots against your team in the entire game. Nice! If two of those shots resulted in goals against because you passed it directly to an opposing player in your own slot than you are garbage defensively. Straight up.

Quick starts over Schneider because of what's in his trophy case! In the real world of professional sports, this is what matters!

While championships do matter you can't say one player is greater than another in a TEAM SPORT because they've got more trophies in the case. That's patently ridiculous.

Elite?? He's never blocked a shot unless it hit him. He's never hit anyone unless it's his sister. Come on. He's the worst Leaf dman I've ever seen, and I've seen them all since 1966. Why? Because he has superior physical tools. Brilliant skater etc. But he can't put 2+2 together. Watch his wingers when he carries the puck. They literally come to a halt past center because Jakey confuses the piss out of them. His possesion stats must be good, because he's always skating in circles with the puck in his own end.
