The run D opened up when the passing D couldn't do a god damn thing last night. Forte had a 2 yard per rush stat after the 1st half.

freeman as a free agent won me many leagues last year, but long term, I think coleman is their back

I hope the coach lets them open up the game with 3 lines instead of trying to win games 2-1

I think the d is good enough and if lehner stays healthy, there is no reason why this team can't score 3-4 goals most nights if they open it up

This should be a very telling season for the Sabres. It's going to be season that really points to whether or not this team has a lot more work to do. Based on what we saw the second half of the season last year, I think they can for sure push for a playoff spot, but it's going to be a struggle.

I dunno man. PPR Freeman was a machine. Last year he had a bad start, I dumped him and totally regretted it. I think Sammy and Devonte have maybe one or two more bad weeks then things will pick up for both. Just a hunch.

The run D wasn't an issue last night. The secondary got victimized play after play. Darby had a few good plays, but Gilmore was downright awful last night.

One can't argue about the Dbacks, for sure they collectively stunk the place up.
But before you dismiss the run...Forte did have 3 TDs ... That is 50% of their points.
I know they were short runs many of them...but I think that is The Clown's point

I get it, and if you just look at the stats on paper, it looks like a different story. But personally, I didn't think the run D played poorly at all last night. We got TORCHED in the passing game last night. It was brutal.

Can't wait for camp. It will be interesting to watch a few of the players- Lehner, Kulikov, Bailey, Guhle.

Not so sure how I feel about ROR being added to Canada's WCH roster. I don't like the idea of him not being with the rest of the team when camp starts. I know Eichel won't be there to start either, but ROR is looked at in more of a leadership way, so him not being there to help set the tone bothers me a bit.

But good for him for getting to represent his country.

Forte got alot of his yards in the second half....Buff's d-line was worn down by that point from being on the field for so long

I'm not trying to rub it in...i just suffered through years of that same story line when rex was with us

Well, yeah, that's a big worry as well. It would suck to have any one of Eichel, ROR or Risto end up injured from playing in it. They're all pretty big pieces to the puzzle here.
