I especially like the fact that TO has Matthews, I think it will push Jack even harder to excel. It seems to me that on the world stage Jack tends to hold back/laid back, or perhaps my expectations for him to simply dominate are too high. I loved that at the World Junion Championship Reinhart was seen as the complete package even with McDavid on the team, playing all the critical minutes.
I would like to see that drive more from Eichel.

Yep.

We tank for 2 years, and still miss out on the true "generational talents".

McDavid is all-world. Probably the best player to come into the league since Lemieux, or maybe even Gretzky.

Mathews looks like the next Crosby or Toews. Just a step below McDavid.

Eichel is going to be good, and so will Reinhart. But neither of our guys will be league MVP candidates like McDavid and Mathews will ultimately be.

I wouldn't say far better. Eichel played very well in game 1 and had a goal. He just needs to shoot the puck more.

Teams are also going to adjust, even if it's slightly, to McDavid's speed.

He got canned because the offense is and was terrible for the time he was here. They led the league in 3 and outs last year, and picked up garbage TD'S that padded our numbers

There is 0 excuse for not targeting Watkins and Clay 15-18 times a game (combined)

He does have quite a bit of room for growth in his game ... And I'm excited to watch him do it.

The time of possession was horrible, and the second bomb was a broken play. This offense has rarely been efficient under Greg Roman. If Greg Roman were to take over for Rex Ryan in a hypothetical firing, this team would be even worse, as hard as that is to imagine.

Yup. Wait for Reinhart to go 6 games without a point. He will be the next reincarnation of Patrick Kaleta.

Here's a weird thought - McDavid, Matthews and Eichel are all excellent young players. They will all have long, successful careers. However, it is unlikely between the 3 of them that they hoist more than Stanley Cup during the course of all 3 careers.

I do feel the Offense has been mismanaged...I said after the Baltimore game that the Bills O should be expected to put up 400 yards each game with the talent they have. The O has always looked choppy to me ...fits and starts and stops.

That said, I did find it odd that the day after Fitz throws for 400 yards against our D that Roman was the one to go.

There is merit to his firing, but the timing was weird and seemed very desperate for Rex.

it's an ego move IMO that deflected a bit of the d woes, and let's face it roman was the only viable option if rex gets canned after week 4, and I think he gets canned in 2 weeks
