Anyone concerned with Eichel this summer? Word was he floated quite a bit in summer league (understandable), but he's definitely not played his best through 2 games of World Cup hockey. I hope he comes out with an edge against Sweden. Would love to see him throw the body more and really up the intensity. Part of me thinks he's trying to save himself for the season, but at the same time I'd love to see him make his presence felt in this tournament.

Probably because he's a great coach? I know its nauseating hearing it over and over again especially given that in most cases the coaches impact on a team isnt as great as most people think but hes done great work throughout his entire career.

He's blazingly fast in a straight line. Which fits his ridiculously long stride. It's the short area quickness that isn't on a Gaudreau level. Maybe he can get there, maybe he can't but that straight line speed will do wonders for him for many years. I keep bringing him up, but he reminds me of Pavel Bure the way he just skates by guys like they're standing still. He's never mentioned with the likes of Lemieux and Gretzky, but he was every bit the scorer they were.

Considering how awful the talent was on the leafs he made them look decent, at least for a little while. If they didn't have bernier in net, i bet they do much better in the standings.
