Was only half watching the Canada/Europe game but, at one point, the announcers were raving about Bellemare saying he may have been Europe's best forward. I don't know if he'll ever be a star at the NHL level, but it's nice to know he's having a good tournament that he can hopefully carry over into the season.
He really is an intriguing prospect. Tough as nails, draws way more penalties than he takes, has some skill, good wheels and is a very good penalty killer. I could see him pushing for a 4th line/PK spot in the near future.

have to admit Goulbourne always seems to win his fights....wonder if there's a fourth line spot for this kid? maybe not at the start of the year...but perhaps sometimes during the season. All reports I read on the kid were decent...but is he an NHL talent?

I'd throw him in the mix for a 4th line spot in camp. This year, it seems like there's some actual competition for a few spots as opposed to the last few years where the lineup was pretty much set the first day of camp (aside from AMac). I still don't think he'll ever be more than a 4th liner at the NHL level, but he's definitely rounded out his game and I've come around on him a bit.

Well, IMO, he's already better than Rinaldo, and that putz is still in the NHL
I'm sorry, but I just saw another one of these "Solve if you're a math genius" things and they're infuriating. For those of who don't know, here's an example:
If
1 + 5 = 18
2 + 10 =36
3 + 15 = 54
Then what is
4 + 20
The answer is 24. And 1+5 = 6, 2 + 10 = 12, and 3 + 15 = 18. These are not functions (f(x) = y), they are simple mathematical statements. Math is math. 4 + 20 =24, not 72.

I really hope he ends up on the RW for us this season. I think he has the speed and the shot to be a 20+ point guy if he's not burdened with the heavy defensive responsibilities of being a center.

Agreed, I wouldn't mind seeing them try a 4th line of: Lyubimov-Gordon-PEB

I am going to go out on a limb but I think Couturier scores 20 this year. Watching him at the WC he seems to have more confidence and even looks faster. I think being named to this team has really helped and I think it will translate this season for him with the Flyers.
Yes, with Vanek and Hansen as his wingers. But I think he's better suited to the wing. - Feanor
I would rather have him as wing too, but I don't necessarily think he has a problem with the responsibilities as a center. I think it is a good part of his game. You are right though it could free him up offensively

It's possible, depends on who he plays with and how much pp time he gets. Assuming he stays relatively healthy and plays 75+ games, I could see him scoring:
14-16 at ES
2-4 on the pp
1-2 SH

That would put him somewhere between 17-22 - BiggE
I counted it as 72 goals, but today's math questions have got me all messed up
