he had a couple of bad months that everyone remembers last season...logged a boat-load of minutes as 21 yr. old against the top players on the opposition with gorges as his d-partner...

a big chunk of his minus-21 rating was due to the goals-against with the goalie pulled

top-10 in minutes played by a d-man

"Nothing" is a strong word. They have all shown great promise, but I don't thing promise is enough to justify huge deals.

He also scored a ton of his points in a short stretch last year and got a lot of good bounces.

He obviously a good player, but he's not proven to be a top 15 D man, which is what 6-6.5 would put him.

Banking on potential is what got players like Myers and Bogosian to be considered overpaid.
