5.5 is fair. - mhp
I think that's probably a sensible number for a long term deal. A bridge deal could throw a wrench in that though. Maybe $4.33M for 3. |

A bridge for Risto, I think, would come back to bite us down the road. |

I agree. But there's obviously some disagreement about compensation. I haven't heard about it being acrimonious yet, but there's obviously a gap. And given Murray's comments earlier in the summer he was hoping for a long term deal. |

Does Risto have to be signed before joining training camp?
I know players go to camp without a contract, but that doesnt seem very smart in his case. if he got hrt in any way, shape or form, he's be screwed. |

Yeah, if he goes into next weekend unsigned I'll start to get worried.
I'm not yet, because so many other guys are still unsigned. |

I'm totally blanking on who used to wear 77 for the Sabres(Kulikov's number). It was Chris Gratton right? Was there someone else? |

I was thinking recently, well, since Gratton anyway.
Edit: Guess just those 2, thought there was someone else. |

So I just watched Ghostbusters(the new one) last night. Wtf are people on about? I thought it was pretty good.
I kind of wish I had seen it in theaters though; the effects were spectacular. - Wetbandit1
(shrug) it depends on what you're after. If you like comic book movies and/or big hollywood productions, it was ok. If you like a little more than that....

If you want more than that you were in the wrong place. It was a popcorn movie, that was all it tried to be. |

Risto is in hockey shape so not a big rush to get it done and gives guhle and Nelson more ice time in pre season. |

I think I was just remembering that Zhitnik wore 77 in Atlanta, Philly and the Isles. |

Not at all worried about the shape he's in. Worried about actually getting a deal done if they can't get it done in the next week or so. I was one of the ones saying "don't worry about it. It'll get done" And I still have very little doubt it will be, but I don't want it to become a big thing either like ROR in Colorado. |

sure, but you can still say a movie is good or bad at being a popcorn movie |

honest question
whats the point of having a bloggers whose thread gets locked before a comment is even posted?
nice blog by the way, a refreshing change of pace from the other guy |

Mods that don't want to take the time, and just lock it preemptively. What they don't realize is that if they drop the hammer on the trolls it will get better. Instead they just lock the thread and the trolls wait. |

He's a troll magnet and an idiot. He also represents the fans of the Buffalo Sabres in no way, shape or form.
He must have photos of Ek in some compromising position, because i have no idea why he has a spot on this site, let alone his own "corner."

My guess is that Reinhart is at C right now because ROR isn't there and I don't think Eichel is there yet either, though if he wasn't today I would think he would be tomorrow. - HonkFortheGoose
I did think of that. Makes sense
Although they could've kept him at RW & put someone else there
I'm thinking they at least wanted to see him at Center,
Even if they don't plan to move him there
No point in shifting him around otherwise |

It's the first day of camp a lot of guys were playing in weird spots. Gus was a 1C, Nylander was on the right side, Foligno was on a 1st line, so was Gionta, and Larsson was between Ennis and the UFA Chinese guy.
I wouldn't read much into where guys are playing in camp, or even in preseason. Reinhart is a natural center, it makes sense to play him there, especially when Eichel isn't there.
Edit: Hell, Franson and McCabe were a pair. 'Nuff said. |

When Girgensons is centering Foligno & Gionta,
Calling him a 1c seems pretty off to me
You're acting like they just throw guys in random spots just cause
If that's the case,
We're in a lot of trouble
IMO,
These guys are being put in certain spots for a reason |

Centers are going to play center, that's all I'm saying, especially when we're short our 2 best centers.
I meant to say that Gus was playing a 1C, not that he is a 1C. |

But Reinhart isn't a "center" with us
There's other guys they could've put there
Why's shift him around unless they wanna see him there for some reason?
Maybe that's in our future plans?
Maybe not
Just curious to see him there
And I know what u meant about Girgs
But with 2 of our top forwards not in camp yet,
The top line on team white is still basically forwards 7-9
I don't consider it a big deal at all
Foligno-Girgensons-Gionta could very well be our 3rd or 4th line this year
Not like He was centering Ennis & Okposo like Larsson was
Maybe Larsson getting his shot? |
