Steely McBeam does not exist, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. HE DOES NOT EXIST!
The Packers are another team that has neither, although they allow local college cheerleaders to represent them. - jmatchett383

Photo evidence says otherwise. |

It's often all in how they're taught/raised. For instance, the boy in orange here has been taught that only knuckleheads slap the glass:

I love getting under a Steelers fan's skin about that thing. My brother refuses to acknowledge him also.
But I really have no grounds to say anything since:

Edit: I just feel that football should be able to sell itself. If you need attractive women and a fluffy mascot to sell your product, then your product isn't good enough.
I feel that mascots only belong in baseball, because baseball has very little action, and mascots can serve a way to fill in some of those gaps. - jmatchett383
Some other sports could use mascots:
Curling
Synchronized Swimming
Thumb Wrestling

Thumb wrestling is offensive to people without thumbs/hands.
Also, I will never know why I get so excited when I watch curling (except for the Swedish women's team, that's obvious). |

The Steelers fan base, at least all of the ones I know, absolutely hate that monstrosity. I mean...why??? It's not like their fan base was dwindling or they needed the cash. Just get a (frank)ing cuddly cat, paint a Steelers logo on him, and let him visit kids at hospitals and orphanages, and call it a day. |

What's the consensus. Are the Eagles really this good, or is it an early season hot start? I don't know. |

Whichever team has Boyd Gordon tonight is probably the favorite |

They have beaten 2 brutally bad teams and one pretty good team, all by wide margins. But the convincing way in which they won all three games tells me they are pretty good. |

So he's averaged nearly 29 goals per season the last 3 years if my Harambe math is correct. Seems like 6 million AAV is a fair deal.
Who's the last Flyer to score 37 in a season? Probably the guy traded for Umberger. - PLindbergh31
6 million is a fair deal for that performance no doubt..
How angry would you be typing if the Flyers signed a 28 year old player to an 8 year extension? |

Anything can happen as they've only played 3 games and won't play again for 2 weeks. They beat a hapless Browns team and a pretty bad Bears team, the Steelers however were several NFL pundits preseason favorites to win the bowl this year and the Eagles absolutely destroyed them handing the Steelers their most lopsided loss since 1989.
They're currently the highest scoring team while giving up the least amount of points against.

What's the big deal? He played 1st line wing for Team Canada and has been producing – 2nd in points behind Crosby. |
