I was just Googling and it seems Sabres signed him to a 1-year, 2-way contract. He apparently made the AHL All-Star game last year. Seems like a solid depth forward who can help Rochester and fill in for the Sabres if needed.

Chad Johnson looking pretty good for the Flames tonight. 21 saves, 0 GA through 2 periods of play. I think they are putting someone else in goal for the 3rd however.

He's got size and some skill and an entire family to work for. I say this is a great example of what murray sees in a player. THe Sabres will provide this kid with everything he needs and the work ethic is obviously there…..

Wow. Didn't realize that he was 26. I was just erroneously assuming he was younger. He'll probably stay in Rochester then, although, I'm not sure how likely he is to be claimed.

But if he plays in Rochester anything like he did tonight, I'll still be happy to have in the organization.
