Not enough to give up all that, they need to worry about Risto. With Jack and Sam needing new deals why take on Trouba and contract that he may get.

He'll probably get the same deal Risto and Lindholm get. There's no way you're getting Trouba without Risto, so it's a moot point. Trading for him is a fantasy and completely unnecessary. So at the end of the day, you're paying the same amount of cap with either dman.

I have no fear the cap will be ok to accept both deals for those guys (Eichart). Plenty of cash will be gone by then and giving the boot to Moulson will be easy with one year remaining.

I found this out last night but i'm sure other media outlets have mentioned the Sabres and Trouba, it really makes no sense to move Risto for Trouba. The Jets are asking a ton for him.

Cap in two years will be minus Gionta, McCormick, Kane (If not, I can't see him making much more than he does now, so it's a wash), then maybe we'll have a cheaper defensive payroll, Kuli if he's back making similar money, Franson/Gorges gone and replaced by youth or cheaper bot pair D. No one's really in for a huge increase besides maybe Lehner, but with one year of success, if he has it this year, maybe goes to high 3's to mid 4's?

Only real thing I've seen was Bobby Mac tossing ideas around including Sabres, only because Risto is unsigned and is a similar defenseman. As far as legitamate Sabres Are Going For Trouba, haven't heard a word. Just like with EDM, Risto is a non starter.

I really hope the team uncovers a late bloomer undrafted UFA. Other teams grab these guys for nothing and they're staples for years.

Waiting for the Sabres to find a gem. Maybe this Casey Nelson character is our Dan Boyle. Boy would that be cool.

We could have already had Hall if the Sabres were willing to give the Oilers Risto but that was not happening.

I like that kid, he had trouble cracking the NHL though. Last year was the first year out of 4 that he blew the doors off the AHL. But he's been improving every year. Will be interesting to track his progress, see how he does during his call ups.

Hampus Lindholm is reportedly looking for a deal in excess of $48 million over eight years.
There might be a significant gap between Lindholm and the Ducks as Anaheim is believed to be seeking an annual cap hit in the $5 million to $5.4 million ranger, which is where Morgan Rielly and Seth Jones are respectively. Lindholm had 10 goals and 28 points in 80 contests last season. He's a restricted free agent.
