This was the first time I have ever seen a Belichek team look un prepared. Rookie QB or not the fact that Gronk only had one catch and it was in the 4th quarter shows that they were not prepared or that the game plan was god awful. Very uncharacteristic of a Belichek team.

Homie... Although I hope they over achieve I think the latter is more likely. I just don't see where this team is any better in a major sort of way...

This teams got way too many "ifs" and young players to have an accurate read on where they'll finish. You could convince me they are playoff bound just as much as you could convince me that they are going to be dead last in the east.

There's no doubt in my mind they looked past this game.

The misconception is that there is a "problem". There's not. There are questions.

Just keep in mind, we purposely lost a ton of games, and had unwatchable hockey for about 3 years, to put ourselves in a position to win a cup pretty soon.

Being "good" again, wont satisfy this fan base. Just like the Bills being 8-8 won't satisfy the fan base.

IMO, and the opinion of some others, Murray is building an 8-8, 9-7 hockey team right now.

I'll be be THRILLED if we make the playoffs, and won't sit in my chair the entire series. I just know that eventually it has to be more.

I have been looking towards 17-18 for 2 years now. That's our year. Murray has a lot of work to do

They are better if you assume there is no way the combination of Moulson, Girgensons, and Ennis can have nearly as horrible a season as they did last year, and Okposo is a quality addition.

They are not better, even if the above happens, if the young guys, meaning Risto, McCabe, Eichel, and Reinhart don't all play at least as well as they did last year.

If those 4 young guys all improve, even slightly, and the statement above is also true, they have to be better.

I guess I just don't see the 1 or 2 players on this team that can go out and win a game for you when you really need it... I see maybe 4 20 goal scorers and a bunch of guys who can chip in 5 to 10 goals a season... I just don't see any major go to guys here...
