It's so fun to watch them out there flying up and down the ice making plays at breakneck speed.
Then you have a guy like Greening, Komagod or Hyman on the off wing who either just can't handle the pace, or doesn't have the hands to convert the slick dish, and it shows.
Just for a couple games, I'd love to see Willy-Matthews-Marner on the ice with Rielly and Zaitsev. A 5-man unit that can all keep up to each other
Would be excellent to see - WingmanWillie
I think Nylander is a better player for Matthews.
I think we will see Marner and Matthews on the PP but I think you'll see Marner with JVR. |

New Jersey? Perhaps the most irrelevant team in the whole league. - EugenesAxe
Relevancy in sports is based on winning championships, of which NJ has 3 in the last 21 years and 15 playoff appearances in that time. NJ may be one of the more disliked franchises, I'll give you that, but I wouldn't call them irrelevant. The entire country of Canada hasn't won a cup in 20 years which consists of 7 NHL teams. If you want to discuss relevancy...I do like Poutine though, delicious. |

Relevancy in sports is measured by how much people actually pay attention to your organization.
If people forget you exist except for those brief moments when your team hoists the cup, can you truly call yourself relevant? |

For sure, but all 3 for a couple games would be really fun to watch.
I'm actually OK with Marner sticking with JVR and Bozak, and Matthews and Nylander playing together. Not sure I love Hyman on that line, but I'm sure Babs will sort all that out |

not worth the back n fourth but keep in mind each team that won the cup was made with 70% Canadian born players
especially NJ for their cup wins. |

I was watching the game in 6 and Marner and Matthews were doing some good work in the corners and making nifty little passes back and forth to keep possession of the puck and the opposition on their toes.
I wouldn't mind seeing them continue to play together. |

How long is Zaitsev signed for?
He does look like a great pickup for the Leafs. |

I wouldn't call winning a Stanley cup a brief moment. There are franchises that have never won a cup. Ask their fan bases if winning one would be a "brief moment" to their loyal fans. Those brief moments are why teams play hockey and why fans watch. Not trying to argue but we disagree on relevancy. Leafs look promising this season, I wish you luck. |

Habs won't have that much cap space if Radulov keeps playing the way he has in preseason.
Already (frank)ing love that guy. |

My lines for poops and giggles. And yes, I'm tossing the kids together and moving Bozak to wing and Komarov to Centre. |

I wish I had that positive outlook about losing. It has been a rough few years lately. Feel better about this coming season though. |
