I had a buddy that was sitting a couple seats over. He was sending videos of the game before it happened, so I knew he would be right next to it.
I'm playing golf with him this afternoon, he'll probably know a lot more.

A lot of people are saying it was a female and she bolted right after then came back and threw ANOTHER can after EE's jack.

But yea, Rogers Centre security has a bunch of 60mp cameras that cover all 50k seats. They know what he/she looks like.

I'm surprised the didn't catch the fan right then. Would seem pretty easy to point the person out

Better than advertised certainly, but yeah, contending teams don't have room for too many Greenings so the sooner we can afford to let those kind of guys walk, the better.

My thoughts exactly. I saw it all happen from up above 3rd base and assumed it would have been a quick grab for security. Hell, I'd point out an bumhole like that in a heartbeat. I was shocked to see this morning that they didn't have the person.

Good blog Mr. Big D!

I heard recently that Babcock said he's going to start with Hunwick and Zaitsev paired because 'he's a good teacher.' I don't think that bodes well for Carrick seeing a lot of ice in the first few games, but I suspect he'll play himself into regular playing time.

He had a less than stellar camp but he was playing pretty well for a 6th-7th guy last year.

Don't know enough about your defensemen to claim he'd be better than what you have though.

I don't know about you guys, but I think Kadri deserves some better linemates than Michalek and Komarov. Hopefully he gets them

Agreed. DoPS gets this one right, even after their (frank) up on the Gudas situation.

You nailed it WingmanWilly Mathews between Marner and Nylander with Rielly and Zaitsev, that would be an incredible pp. The future is bright. Marner on the pp is already showing Johnny Hockey type of skill and production will follow.

In a perfect world, yes. I think by the end of the year we'll see Matthews and Kadri getting most of the minutes down the middle so they'll get the best linemates by then. Kadri's the go-to guy against top opposition so Komarov is an obvious linemate for that role.

I disagree.

The onus is somewhat on Vesey there. If he had done the right thing and followed Eichel and his luscious flowing red locks, those magnificently sculpted calf muscles, and his exemplary choice of fashion he'd never have found himself in this position in the first place.

Totally agree, Kadri has been considered a bust by many but honestly you need some talent with you to succeed. Kadri needs JVR and Nylander, that is if Mathews gets Marner. Flip them if you like.

Turning was not the best plan, but if you watch you'll see that Gudas veers left and actually hits Vesey to the left of his body - if he had continued straight he'd have missed him after Vesey turned back. With that in mind, if he has enough time to change direction (i.e. he sees him change direction) then he had enough time to not make the hit once Vesey becomes prone.

Not to mention he dropped the shoulder and went for high on the numbers. He could have easily made lower body contact and brought him in upright.
