I wonder if 26-year old Moulson had the perceived skill at the time to be a top 6 player, compared to a guy like Nylander today?

So far there's just 2 of us, me and Gerbe, but I know there were a bunch of us that wanted to do that keeper league with Orgasm.

A fourth rounder is really cheap - but I'm not sure we can really say Yak is a "potential number 1 overall."

By this point, I think you really have to call him a "still young 4th year vet who has only averaged 12 g a year, but who may have incredible upside if he can recapture the magic he showed at lower levels of play."

But I do think he's got enough offensive talent to score 20-25 potentially

20 shots in an OT game isn't going to get a win.

2 goals, both unassisted, tells me we had no offensive buildup and probably terrible possession numbers;

Ulmark 2.0 GAA and 0.930+ sv% the loss is NOT on him.

This is a Jeremy White "I don't need to see the game"(tm) analysis.

I know it's preseason games and the roster shifts every night with guys on different line combinations, playing a bunch of AHL guys, etc...but the same is so for the opposition. And yes I understand O'Reilly went out, Okposo wasn't playing, same with Jack. I get it,, but the same for the opposition as mentioned.
Scoring 2 goals just isn't good enough period, and getting 20 shots is unacceptable. It is early, but I'm not digging the lack of offensive production so far...I would say that is more a problem than our D or goaltending.
Bylsma needs to start focusing on getting the O to produce far more on a consistent basis.
