Hey all - just noticed that the NHL Channel (at least in the US) is showing the Frozen Fury game tonight (10-8-16) at 10pm Central time. It won't be live, but at least the first showing isn't cut and compacted into an hour.

I was at the game tonight. The Avs looked much stronger than the Kings and all the Kings fans around us were lamenting over how their team looked and how good we looked.

-Varly was strong. A couple great saves.
-MacKinnon was flashy and created a couple really good opportunities.
-Dutchy is definitely playing injured. No doubt that he's in a bunch of pain.
-D looked decent. Only a couple silly moments. Great not seeing Holden out there.
-My wife noted that their passing was more accurate than in years past.
-I think we hit the post 4 times on offense. The game could've been totally lopsided in the first period.

Overall it was a really fun and entertaining game to go to. However, there was a really stupid Californian behind us talking trash about Colorado (as in the state of Colorado) saying that it has nothing going for it. It was one of the first times that I've ever heard someone trash Colorado for having nothing going for it and nothing to do there.

Also, Beauchemin tossed a puck over the ice to my son during the warmups. Second time he's done that for my son. Last year it was at a Stars game in Dallas. Stand up guy...or maybe he has it out for my wife and is trying to steal her away.

I'm totally cool with Californians acting like there's nothing worth coming to Colorado for. We (Coloradans) know better.

Hopefully, one day the Avs fans that hated losing ROR will look back on the trade and realize it was a great deal.

Grigorenko was an unheralded but important piece to that trade. Can't wait to wear my #25 sweater on opening night. Grigs!
