So whats the consensus on who's got the best team in the pool? Phyllee has my vote but it's pretty close.

Virtanen did not look good last night at all. A few times he had one of their D lined up for a punishing hit and ended up giving a light push to the boards. And that llne change ..

Sucks to say it but he looks AHL bound.

From what I saw he was still playing good positional hockey.

we dont know entirely, he may have been given orders to take it easy hitting wise for a few games after the shoulder injury.... so basically we cant jump to conclusions on him.
Etem on the other hand. Hasnt he played in every game so far?

He wasn't really noticeable but his shoulder might still be bothering him.

its funny my son made the comparison to naslund at the end of last season. He said "I saw a few shifts that reminded me of naslund. He may have more potential than many realized". I didnt make much of it at the time but now that more are saying it....

he's got some good hockey sense, must be in the genes

I honestly thinm he will start in Utica to prevent losing Etem on waivers. The difference between their play isnt big enough to say JV has outworked Etem. Neither of them have earned poop.

Not sure on that one. From the hits that I saw JV lay back on they would have been boarding or hits from behind. Good thing he pulled back or he'd be sitting out 5 games.

it could very well be that grandlund is the type of player that shines when playing with skilled players, he has good skills he always has, its his strength that's been his downfall early in his career but as you get older of course you get stronger and I think were seeing that now.

Hah there was a lot of Van fans on here ripping me for saying you guys won the Granlund trade.

Sven for Andersson looks fair though.

Yeah , some in here use to say he never got a chance because he was from the regime of the old GM. The fact is he just hasn' been good enough so far.
