We are sitting at 27 man roster and can move only 4 players that don't require waivers ( aside from a trade) . That leaves us with 23 man roster

However, trades are still possible. For example, Virtanen and Etem for E. Kane would reduce the Canucks roster by 1. Not saying this trade will happen. Just an example.

It was a toss-up between Kane or McDavid. Patrick Kane had the best PPG average at 1.29 but I'm not sure he's going to repeat that. McDavid is however going to light it up this year in my opinion, he was third at 1.07 PPG.

Nilsson is still on the roster, but injured. So he goes on LTIR, JV goes to Utica, Ruutu and Skille just go away. Tryamkin stays.

Or, if Rodin is eligible for IR, they could sign Skille or Ruutu or grab a waiver claim...
