So does this statement apply to what Connor McDavid does game in and game out too? Because he literally did the exact same thing last year with led to his clavicle injury.
Guys with that much speed are always going to be more vulnerable IMO. Sometimes your biggest asset can also be your biggest downfall. - HonkFortheGoose
Well said, honestly the injuries are just bad luck blaming murray or the player always drives me nuts |

It really is entertaining seeing all these trades that GMTM Should have done instead of the ones he did. Everyone thinks it's just like a video game. If it was that easy , don't ya think everyone else would be doing it ? - cabin
... You've seen the Leafs threads on this very matter.
They honestly believe JVR could be the center piece for Trouba or Lindholm. It is not that JVR has no value, he likely has considerable value, but the "add" in a trade like that would be very big.
Teams with valuable assets gauge the desparate teams. |

Sharper skates? Just sayin' because it looks like he lost an edge on the play.. |

There was too much bridge commentary before the game even happened. I can't imagine today will be much better. I may have to just go back to posting pics of Eeyore, since that's the attitude a good majority of people have had around here the last two days.
I'm not too optimistic about this Kane thing though. It looked bad and we managed to get off a bit on the easy side in terms of Eichel's injury so I don't have a ton of faith that this will work out the same way. - HonkFortheGoose
The Eichel injury wasn't as bad as it might have been, but it was still pretty serious. This Kane thing did not sound good when they said they brought him out on a stretcher |

There were trades murray made that are not good. The kane trade, the lehner trade(jurys out) moulson and gionta signings, awful.
Why were we not in on the yakupov or hall trades. Edmonton literally gave them away. I understand they targeted larsson. But what we gave up for kane and bogosian, when hall is alot more valuable then both - Buffalo39
STL gave up nothing for Yakupov. IF we still had Myers GMTM could've easily traded for Hall. He took a gamble with Evander, even i had hopes for him putting everything behind, but you can't "wait and see" anymore with Kane (hello Las Vegas expansion draft). Vesey hurt a lot especially after watching him last night, he looked as good as i thought he would. McCabe was my highlight player. |

Eichel was a fluke, but I believe players today do have to learn when to play full out and when not to. The guys are too big and too fast now, Going balls to the wall is going to lead to injuries and that really can't be blamed on "bad luck" |

If you watch just before Kane goes down, he gets his skate hooked by the stick. Caused him to go down. |

And Kane hit the spot of the boards that does not move. |

When you compare 6-8 weeks as being how long he's out to what looked like it should have been a season ending ACL injury, it's a much better option. Still sucks, but it could have been worse. |

For the folks that are saying we had what it would take to get Hall from the Oilers before the Kane trade is completely wrong because we didn't ask about
Hall before the Kane trade.. Risto would have gotten us Hall and that's it, Murray said no to that deal 2 times or more. |

I definitely agree with this. Like I said, sometimes a players biggest asset can also be his biggest flaw. |

This. It also becomes less of bad luck when it happened 6 out of 7 years |

For those playing, how's HBSL going for you?
191-177 for me
(so mad, I had a good lineup set but it didn't stick, and when I went back a couple hours later and noticed, I setup some different guys apparently...missing out on Marchand's crazy performance last night) |

If you look close, it looks like Emelin pushes him with his left hand. |

Myers and Stafford would've been enough for Hall IMO
hindsight is a mutta..

Nope. Its been repeated by several people already. You dont get Hall without Risto.
Edm management feels the same as Larsson as we do about Risto. |

Might have been when the Oilers had interest in Stafford, but that was awhile ago. Myers could have got Hall IMO but at that time the Oilers were not interested in moving Hall. They wanted Risto and that wasn't happening. |
