You know, it's funny because you look at the stats and Lehner let in 4 goals on 24 shots, but I don't think he was the problem last night at all. I may be the only one, but I thought he played well.
Cody Franson looked like garbage for the most part. You know you're a terrible skater when Matt Moulson skates by you like you're not even moving. - HonkFortheGoose
Lehner played well to good.. he probably should have had the first one but it was a good shot that he didn't expect. |

They certainly didn't make his night easy. I think the goal that bothered me the most was the 4th one. Kinda trickled right through him and he didn't notice. But it easily could have been 6 or 7 to 1 without him playing well. |

Lehner is a good goalie. But he's going to be exposed with the tire fire in front of him.

Josh Gorges should have retired after the game last night, he's got nothing left |

From the Jets blog-
"Tanev and Armia were great. They were tenacious and Armia practically put on a one man PK clinic during the game. While not on the score sheet they were a vital part of the win."

Patrick Kaleta was a great penalty killer.
I'm glad he's no longer on the team. |

We didn't sign Gorges. This is the contract he came to us with from Montreal. |

ive heard his pk work was exceptional, happy hes getting his shot. My point was around the time the saad trade happened his value had dipped significantly and his defensive game was nowhere near what it is right now. You're right that chicago was a cap team looking to shed salary but I still think if you compared the two offers theyd still go with CBJ because it gave them nhl ready players. |

That just makes it worse, we took on someones mistake and gave them a solid pick. |

This is a little off topic but i dont think he was ever a good penalty killer. I think he made some huge blocks that got him noticed but his actual play on the pk (positioning, interceptions, smart reads etc.) was average at best. |

He got moved for another nhl player. At the time his value was really high. I dont disagree with you that they should have waited but its not because saad was available later its because their haste led them to taking back a worse contract than they gave up in that WPG deal. |
