I remember the name only cause it was Rice, Louie DeBrusk & Bernie Nicholls who were traded for Mess.

We got super lucky here. Matthew strengthened to a cat 3 but the eye stayed around 20 miles off shore. My condo is across the street form the ocean, so that's the difference between getting whipped by 40-95mph winds for about 12 hours, and getting steamrolled by its 135mph core. Ended up with lots of trees down but minimal property damage, and severe beach erosion. But on the plus side, I'm about 15 feet closer to owning oceanfront property

Yeah I have some friends down in the Ft. Lauderdale area and they saw very in the way of severe weather. But once you got to the central coast it got real, with the highest winds recorded at the Kennedy Space Center - which I can see from my beach. Of course folks north of me in St. Augustine and Savannah and Charleston are way way worse off, you know, ending up underwater and all. Btw, thanks for asking!
