I hung on last season because they assured me that it'd be much better once the switch from GCL to the MLB platform happened. Then that sucked, too, but I went along with the "It's just new system glitches! Will be corrected quick! Promise!" spiel. But they never got better, and I hoped with the entire off season to work on it, we'd be golden. Now, I'm sitting here hoping the first game garbage was just an anomaly. Pretty sure I have Stockholm Syndrome.

What is interesting is my dad has NHL.TV and hasn't had really any issues at all and he has terrible internet as he lives in the middle of nowhere.

I just pay basic cable. Still no cable internet in my area, sucks for streaming anything.

The only (legal) options are CenterIce and NHL.tv (formerly GameCenter Live) and only GCL is a mobile product. That seals it for me because of how much I'm away on travel. But the NHL is trying their damndest to get me interested in the less than legal avenues.

Maybe if you put a little more whale oil in your lamp you can see the map a bit clearer. Have you tried sending a telegram via the Pony Express to the cable provider to confirm that your mud hut definitely wasn't cable-internet compatible?

When the NHL.tv service wasn't glitching, it looked gorgeous. HD @ 60fps. Watching hockey in less than HD now is painful.

I thought that Girardi looked real good last night. He went swimming on the Islanders second goal, but otherwise he was real good. I do, however, think that this team is going to score a lot more goals, while giving up more this year. That's not necessarily because of the defense, but because they are incorporating a lot of youth into the lineup that are learning the defensive aspect of the game.

Kreider was really unbelievable last night. Hope this is the year where he takes the next step.
