Holden did have the worst 5v5 shot attempt differential in last nights game.

seeing that he got that many minutes, pretty good indication he is staying in the lineup for now

I hung on last season because they assured me that it'd be much better once the switch from GCL to the MLB platform happened. Then that sucked, too, but I went along with the "It's just new system glitches! Will be corrected quick! Promise!" spiel. But they never got better, and I hoped with the entire off season to work on it, we'd be golden. Now, I'm sitting here hoping the first game garbage was just an anomaly. Pretty sure I have Stockholm Syndrome.

Hes Klein 2.0. Very savvy acquisition by Gorton.

Wonder if part of Kreiders good camp and now 1st game was the addition of Buch, Vessey and AV saying Pirri is a top 6 player. You see 3 young guys coming in that could all take your spot if your not playing 100%.

I don't want to come across as a McIlrath hater, because I really want to see the kid succeed. With that said, I don't think I ever seen a more stark case of "everyone loves the backup quarterback" as I've seen with McIlrath. He doesn't play for a reason. He is at this point in his career for a reason. Could he do better elsewhere? Maybe. But, I am also not invested in him enough to question the coach's decision. Pure and simple -- AV doesn't seem to care for him much, and at this point, you have to wonder whether that is ever going to change.

That area is just terrible for sports in general. The fact that 17k people showed up on a weeknight against the devils is pretty impressive to me.

I have been there a few times, it's a great building, like it a lot. It's really not that bad of a location other than it's in the middle of nowhere, no mass transit to speak of.
