Murrays extension more or less guarantees bylsma is safe for at least this year. If TM was on the hot seat i could see him firing bylsma to save himself but seems like a non issue now.

That's possible. In my view injuries or not this team needs to turn the corner and if they lose a lot of games and he continues to play Gorges and gionta the spotlight will get hot.

Might explore it if the current group can hold their own for a little while but I think the more prudent course of action would be to look to next year. Shed cap space, play ufas in a sheltered role so as to increase their value and get a good return at the deadline. could say the same for a few RFA's too. Then fill the holes with actual talent at the draft/july 1.

I said in an earlier post, I can't remember so many key players injured to start the season! he'll make a move if playoffs are what that want,but he's not going to gut the prospects to do so,imo

Baptiste got the call up today. I think Nylander stays in the AHL for the year. No point calling him up until hes ready to hold down a top 6 spot. ELC slide as well

I wouldn't be surprised to see a trade with ottawa, Vancouver, or calgary, but if they can hold around 5 hundred for the first 20 games hopefully they'll be ok

I sorta agree. I think Murray getting a deal doesn't change Pegula's desire for success soon. The injuries give Bylsma time - but the team better respond fast when everyone is back.
