It appears Mutt Reed is on the 3rd line in practice today, Cousins on the 4th subbing in and out for Lyubimov.
So Lyubimov might go in, but it's looking like if he does, it's for Cousins. Makes sense to me to take out the 23 year old with 2 points in 2 games over the pointless (in a couple ways) AHL tweener. FFS Hakstol cannot help himself when it comes to Chris VandeVelde. It's so obvious too.

Quick is good enough with the core that is signed to win another cup, IMO. Since quick isn't healthy, I feel Lombardi is going to do something. I can't see any GM with that core relying on a career back up to keep them in playoff contention. - ravishingone
I agree. Much like MAF in 08/09, he's good enough to win with what's in front of him. Like MAF, he can run incredibly hot or cold at any moment. I don't see Lombardi doing nothing, but I don't think Mason/Neuvirth will be his answer. I think TB may be a better bet.

You think they'd take either of them at those hits? They'd have to get Dallas to take Brown back somehow. Like Brown + 1st for him with some retained. - jmatchett383
I think Dallas would definitely have to retain salary, but that is the only way they are getting rid of one of them anyway. I had a brainfart though, as I thought Kari's contract was up, but it has another season that wouldnt make sense for the Kings
